    I would guess that this is a few gross overstatement considering that the population of the United states did not even reach 10 million until 1820. And with the UK not having a population higher than 10 million until the late 1700s and a population of around 5 million in the mid 1600s, I would say that tens of millions is being being pull out of your a**.

    It started as penal colony. Fact. In the beginning there were white British criminals and native aborigines. The multiculturalism came later. I guess it is OK for foreigners to insult me by calling me ignorant and prejudicial. We conservative Americans aren't allowed to do that. I won't call you any names, cousin.

    Yes, Australia was used, by the British as a Penal Colony. It does not follow, from that fact that most Australians are descend from criminals. Such a claim, as You made, is amazingly ignorant!

    In the beginning, there were Aboriginals who had migrated from elsewhere, then came the explorers and then came the Penal Colonies.
