Here is some honesty for you. Trump is impeached because he abused the power of his office when he sought campaign assistance from a foreign government in the form an announced investigation against his domestic political rival while he unilaterally and simultaneously held up hundreds of millions in military aid.
When you say ignore every metric, do you also include the metric of ~14000 lies told by trump since he was inaugurated?
Biden WILL WIN. Trump won't be able to break 48% in the Big 3 Rust Belt States. Plan on a long election night, ending in a Trump Loss. Sad to be the bearer of bad tidings, but don't shoot the messenger.
Here is some honesty for you he committed no impeachable offenses and you like Schiff had to make false allegations and make up phony quotes.
So....about that March 10th Primary.... It was a good evening for Biden. He even won more than 50% of the votes in three out of six states.
Michigan was the Big story. Bernie put a lot of time into the state and got blown out. Won it in 2016, and couldn't even get 37% in 2020. Bernie never had a chance in Michigan. Everybody saw the Michigan Blowout coming. Really sad if Bernie actually thought that he had a chance. And, when I think back on it: Imagine how ridiculous things (Bernie Supporters were saying online) like: "Blood in the Streets of Milwaukee" Imagine how that sounds now. Utterly absurd BS. Bernie isn't going to make it out of March (nor should he).
You're right. Thread is starting to derail. My apologies for my role in that. In regards to the March 10th Primary, I am somewhat heartened to see that Bernie did win a State and has a chance to win another. I think the next step is to ensure that the Democrats come together and at this point, that means that there needs to be a perceivable "off-ramp" for Bernie where he is able to transition his movement into DNC support for a tangible policy position. Winning some of the delegates last night means that his bargaining position is probably as strong as it will ever be because the States next week and after are States that bode even worse for him.
Leftists always have the best spokespeople. They have a guy with dementia for POTUS. A teenage girl with aspergers for their climate change policies. A room temp IQ former bartender representing them in Congress. I think Schumer is the last Democrat in government that still has his mind, and even he's losing it.
As a numbers guy, the big news was Sanders blowing an 11 point lead in Michigan, a 20 point lead in Washington from 4 Mar until last night. With Washington basically tied and Biden up by 16 or so in Michigan, what would cause so many voters to change their minds? With so many mail in ballots to be counted in Washington, we probably won't know who won there for a few days more or perhaps a week from now. As for the black vote, through Super Tuesday and not counting last night, Biden has received 63%, Sanders 17% and Bloomberg 13%. Sanders had a huge problem with the black votes in 2016 with Hillary receiving close to 80% of the black vote and he has a huge problem with blacks this year. Bloomberg who participated in only Super Tuesday received more black votes on Super Tuesday than Sanders. The black vote is very important in the Democratic Primaries as they make up approximately a third of all democratic primary voters. States to come with the 2016 percentage of the black vote, Illinois 43, Florida 30%, Ohio 24%, Arizona 16% and Georgia 57%.
They think Biden is going to protect them from those chains while Trump has gotten them jobs and rising incomes.
Listening to the Washington Post Livestream of the results last night, I heard a pundit explain it this way. Essentially, Bernie was operating under a false premise of the 2016 election results. He believed that the individuals voting for him in 2016 were doing so because they largely agreed with his policies, but in actuality many were voting for him as a protest vote against Hillary Clinton. As soon as those voters were afforded an option that they believed was more agreeable, they made it abundantly clear that they would vote for that candidate.
It objectively contained at least two impeachable offenses because he was objectively impeached for two articles of impeachment because of conduct that he objectively did. And I am willing to bet that you do not believe Trump asking the Ukrainian President to fabricate an investigation would qualify as an impeachable offense even if you heard him say it directly, but this discussion is not relevant to the topic of this thread. So not going to continue this conversation any further.
He committed no impeachable offenses and you like Schiff had to fabricate quotes and put words in his mouth. And of course you don't want to continue you got caught fabricating stuff.
A positive message? That's way outside the Democrat wheelhouse. I can see how you might get confused...
Larry Sabato in his Crystal Ball Report came to the same conclusion. That a lot of those who voted for Sanders in 2016 weren't actually voting for him, but against Hillary. He was basically the only alternative. A bit of different wording, but the same meaning. With this additional info it makes more sense that 89% of the democratic base would vote for Hillary in 2016, but only 75% of Sanders supporters. They were anti Hillary in the beginning and anti Hillary during the general election. Does that make sense to you? This helps explain the 75% for Hillary, 12% for Trump with a huge 13% voting third party against both Trump and Hillary.
