Thanks, RP. The alma mater pride certainly did help - I totally went with my heart and not my head on that pick. On the other hand, I like our chances against Indiana.

Good luck to your Blue Devils tonight. I'm rooting for you guys to make a nice run this year...

    Thanks...

I hope we can pull it out...

But, it's only gonna get tougher...

Lehigh prolly won't be much of an issue tonight (never discount anyone in the tourney though), but, after that, I got us bumping heads w/ Xavier, and, now that UNLV bit the dust, I expect we'll meet Baylor...

    The South is no joke...

In fact, the only "weak" bracket in this tourney is the Midwest...

You're right - the South is no joke. If we get past Indiana we'll end up facing Kentucky (good night, Gracie).

I expect you guys will run into Baylor, too - that might end up being the best match-up in the Sweet Sixteen...

It is the exact opposite of awesome to be in the South bracket this season...lol

However, since I love good basketball, I'll take it...

As well you should. There's no glory in beating the pulp out of the Turnpike Techs in the tournament...

    Absolutely not...

That's why, no matter how far they go, I have less respect for the tarholes in this bracket, because, if they go far, it'll be because their bracket is extra weak, IMO...

But, I hate them anyway, so, I suspect it would've gone in that direction even if they had to play UK, Michigan State, Kansas, and Wisconsin back-to-back...lol

    LOL.

I don't think there's any question the Midwest is the weakest bracket. C'mon - Georgetown is the #3 seed?

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Michigan won that region...

Cinci and Texas going down to the wire...I'm gonna hurl if the Bearcats blow this one...

Three good match-ups right now that are going to create some separation in the office pools: Creighton vs. Alabama, NC State vs. SDSU, UVA vs. Florida...

Sweet - one of my upset specials just came through:

    #11 NC State 79 #6 SDSU 65

The Wolfpack could do some damage in that weak Midwest field...

So far, NC State has killed another one of my picks, Bama is hanging w/ Creighton, and FSU is having trouble w/ Bonaventure...

    Rough day for my bracket...

Creighton just barely squeaked past 'Bama. I guess Anthony Grant is going to have to root for his old team.

I'm gonna be in BIG trouble if Florida State doesn't get it's act together...

Ouch - there's gonna be a lot of unhappy UVA fans in these parts. The Gators took them out to the woodshed...

I have Memphis over SLU tonight.

    Ahhh, what is a Billiken.

    St. Louis University's mascot...

My alma mater- Parks College of St. Louis University even had a Billiken on their training aircraft...

Piper 28R Arrow I used for my instrument training...note the Billiken likeness on the tail.

so that bears the question...what is a Billiken...

    Admittedly a weird mascot.

As a former basketball junkie,I've never heard the phrase " be that as it
    may " uttered ever.Not By Billie Packer,Al McQuire,Tom Hammons
Joe Dean or Dick Vitale. Not Brent Musburger { yes,he does college
basketball } Verne Lundquist { one of my favorite }Dick Enberg,
Of course the legendary Cawood Ledford { Kentucky } Jim Nantz.
Of course basketball players like Len Elmore and Jay Bilas.
    And the Fun Bill Raferty.
never,Like impossibly never have I ever heard one them guys talk
like this " Be that as it may ".In fact, that would be a Mortal Sin in
the Basketball World.Calling a good game and right in the middle some
Liberal announcer, calling his {girly man} first game ever ... blurbs out

Well you take that shot he just took,of course " be that as it may "

Man ... Like I'd know it's time to seriously leave this country.
Thankfully political correctness and Liberal Toadism hasn't
invested the ranks of college basketball ... Yet !.

West Virginia is a rugged team coached by one of the greats.
Has the best player in the Big East { Jones } and of all the
games I've seen { 4 this year } they either went Overtime or
    won in a tight contest.
Georgetown got upset { good }.But I like the remaining 4 teams
    from my Conference Big East.
Cincy because they're close to home and play rugged as well. They
a run and gun style team with good hands and footwork.
They can pick most teams pocket.Lousiville of course My Team.
I always liked Notre Dame since the Digger Phelps years
and winning games like 48-46 before a shot clock was introduced.
Digger knew how to hold the ball and run an effective 4 corner
offense. Those days are long gone.Louisville just won another Big East
Championship with one of if not THE Lowest scoring finals in
    that Championship 50-44 over Cincy.
Louisville plays a late game tonight out west.
