Inquisition anyone? What's interesting is that she pleaded to having another motive for befriending people, so what is that motive? Obviously she's not working for the Russian government, or Russia would have retaliated by grabbing one of our own. So who is she working for? Maybe a sanctioned individual?

But sanctioning requires the approval of the UN, so what the US considers sanctions is not universally recognized as such. What she did then was break US law. But people and nations are breaking US law all the time, and no one cares unless it goes against Washington's political agenda.

As an example, when Vladimir Putin showed proof at a meeting in Astana that Turkish trucks were carrying ISIS's stolen oil by the thousands, and he gave the name of all the countries that were buying that oil Washington could care less.

What I will say though is that I feel that many Republicans in Congress have attached themselves to NRA money which is in fact money given to the NRA by 'strawmen' who are in fact Russian oligarchs working with Putin to create a Congress sympathetic to both the NRA policies and subsequently to the endeavors of Vladimir Putin which is to control our elected Republican Congress in order to push his agenda forward including but not limited to removal of Magnitsky Act sanctions that Obama imposed on Russia.
