"Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man." I don't think it invalidates anything. Marijuana is just something that can be used for both recreation and medicine. That's just bonus as far as I'm concerned.
That article posted by Prof. Peabody also said it increases brain connections in the same area it decreases, which is why the study concluded that that it has no detrimental effect on users' brain functions. Prof. Pea just didn't want you to know that, so he left it out of the parts he quoted. Please try to keep up with the conversation.
It increases the connections to compensate for the lost matter. That's a fairly basic concept regarding how the brain works. You marijuana defenders are really pitiful.
Yeah, and people generally smoke a lot more cigarettes a day than marijuana. Besides, the conversation was originally about brain function, not lung function.
Exactly, so no loss of brain function, even if you smoke 3 times a day for 10 years straight, as the article also stated. Continually using a debunked argument is the only pitiful thing happening here. Glad to hear you're so happy about new breakthroughs in cancer treatment, though.
There is definitely a loss of brain function, the fact that the brain can adapt to damage doesn't mean that you're better shrinking your brain instead of not shrinking your brain. It steams me that people like you try to press crap like this onto others just because you're already screwed.
The study's conclusions disagree with you. What steams me is that people like you have no real argument against marijuana, so you just attack the messengers rather than admit you might be wrong.
I just have to share this... sorry... but Joker apparently meant to quote me and say something bad about my previous post, but instead he clicked the "give reputation" button and put his mean post into the reason for giving reputation, so he ended up giving me rep instead of continuing the thread. I guess that's what happens after you smoke enough dope to decide that shrinking your brain is a good thing. - - - Updated - - - Here's what he meant to post btw:
