I think it's some irrational urge to be do-gooders. It's just another example of the insanity which is sweeping this country. This reminds me - time to update my sig.

Debate in Parliament to be had on the 20th of February.

If the British media's coverage has been as appallingly propagandistic as the Australian media's coverage in not surprised that Brits are afraid to speak out.

And I like your avatar - and it'll happen far sooner than any of us dare believe. The West is blindly and willingly walking toward the abyss like the Eloi walked toward the entrance to the world of the Morlocks.

Yeah, i agree. I wonder what the liberals are going to do when the Muslims are at their front door calling for Shariah. I believe most of them will submit.

MEP's must be having nightmares about Farage by now. He has absolutely f***ing wrecked them in everything he's ever attempted.

I have actually heard a few calls into Farage, he is the consummate professional. I disagree with him on a fair bit, but he's clearly the most important British political figure since Thatcher. Maybe Churchill by the end of his career.

I see that Ukraine is on the news again? And the neurotic accusations about 'Russian aggression' has been cranked up. Oh well, if the NWO have decided there's to be a third world war there's (*)(*)(*)(*) all we can do about it.

But not the most dangerous. Farage has no political power. He has huge influence. Important friends but he is shut out from the Halls of Parliament.

Boris Johnson is the most dangerous. He is shadowing Theresa May to become the next PM.

They'll do what they always do when they've caused chaos - they'll suddenly become conspicuous by their silence because as usual they've disappeared back into the woodwork, and leaving it to someone else to sort out. Liberals are the curse of mankind.

Then it will really be 'Idiocracy'.

I dislike both Johnson and May.

Having a single vote in the Parliament is pretty insignificant influence. Farage has something much more valuable. It's very rare to find leaders who almost singlehandedly change the direction of history.

Who would have thought all those years ago that the little MEP from England would actually carry through on his promises and get one of the big 3 out of the EU.

It was the discontent manifested in UKIP's winning of the EU Parliament elections which prompted the referendum to leave. It was UKIP's campaigning against 3/4 of MPs, practically all media, practically all business interests, practically all academics, practically all international leaders, etc that got them the win.

Whether you agree or disagree with Farage's views, you sorta have to give him kudos for a job well done.

Excellent post. Nigel up against the complacent bullying Establishment could be today's David and Goliath? As I keep saying - Nigel Farage is the best PM we never had. But then I've just remembered - some brain-dead woman was on Today this morning blaming him for Brexit, and the BBC interviewer was egging her on. And she's a typical constituent part of the British electorate :wall: I despair at what my country has become, I really do.

Oh, and yesterday in the House someone described Ken Clarke as 'statesmanlike'!! Anyone less like a statesman I've yet to see! Jesus it's scary!

Farage is an opportunitist with a flair for public speaking; unfortunately he attracted a collection weirdo’s around him from the old dinosaurs hankering for the long gone days of empire to neo Nazis. He spent a fair bit of time apologising for their more stupid racial statements.
UKIP is limited to a one issue party while it’s true that immigration is a powerful issue in the UK, history tells us that you can’t run any party on a single topic.

I am not sure that getting into bed with Mr Trump is a good move for him , He’s a far better speaker and well ahead in the intelligence stakes but he is not American and I guess is an unknown in the Land of the Free. If he is looking for a job after we leave the EU I doubt he will find one in the States. Still you never know.

On Ken’s Clarke speech he was merely restating his lifelong support for the EU and was lucid and honest in that regard. I am a lifelong socialist but I hope I have the ability to recognise a speech made from the heart whether I agree with the speaker or not. Your remarks on the speech shows your incapable of anything that doesn’t fit into your bubble.

He was always a strong advocate for the common currency, and where would we be now if he'd had his way? The man was a useless home secretary, has never distinguished himself in office, and now he's all bitter and twisted because he didn't get his Remain wish granted. Wake up and smell it fgs.

I still think the UK will never actually leave. Theyll find a way to BS out of it, or keep the single market, free movement, etc.

I agree. And they're also talking about us having to pay squillions of euros to actually leave - and we're stupid enough to pay it too??!
