You do realize "the current civil unrest" is being done by Democrats, right?

Ironic the GOP is saving "babies" (in quotes because a fetus isn't a baby) while supporting the Liar-in-Chief who has killed 100,000+ Americans (Canada's COVID-19 dead of 9,223 would be 80,885 scaled up to our population).

Trump's last Justice nomination was really lame. Kavanaugh is a mental pygmy compared to who he replaced. I still think we might have been better off if Trump had put up Kavanaugh's pal, "Squee."

LOL. Not really. There's zero doubt in my mind team D would do the exact same thing.

29 times a President has nominated a SCOTUS during an election year. Basic information here.. In the case of Garland they followed the Biden rule. You also had a lame duck President with the other party controlling the Senate.. They are not even close situations.. Do yourself a favor and turn off the news for awhile.

If these people "on the left" are Democrats...

... then these people "on the right" are Republicans--right?

So, how do explain these guys? Why isn't your pal Trump denouncing them?

BTW, where are the women? If I have to choose one or the other set of thugs, at least Antifa have some ladies. Truth in advertising would have the guy in the wife-beater shirt carry a flag saying,"Boys only! We don't get any..."

I wouldn't try it. They reportedly have 300+ nuclear weapons deployed.

The battle over SCOTUS began long before Bork.

    Try this...

"Louis D. Brandeis: A Life,” Melvin I. Urofsky
Brandeis was reviled by big business and anti-Semites, and his 1916 nomination was hotly contested. Former president William Taft sent a letter to the Senate calling the nomination “an evil and a disgrace.” Harvard University President Abbott Lawrence Lowell claimed that Brandeis was “unscrupulous” and lacked “judicial temperament and capacity.” Urofsky’s towering biography details the life of the greatest justice of the 20th century, offering incredible insight into the century’s first explosive confirmation debate.

“Hugo Black: A Biography,” Roger K. Newman
President Franklin Roosevelt’s selection of Sen. Hugo Black of Alabama as a Supreme Court nominee was, to put it mildly, unpopular. Much of Roosevelt’s New Deal legislation had been invalidated by the Supreme Court, and critics — including Herbert Hoover — complained that with Black, the court would be “one-ninth packed.” Eventually senatorial courtesy, whereby the Senate always confirmed one of its own, prevailed. Afterward, it was revealed that Black (who became a great justice) was once a member of the Ku Klux Klan. Newman’s superb biography, one of the most painstakingly researched and comprehensive accounts of the justice’s life, illuminates both episodes."
    Kavanaugh.

After all the other trash talk about Democrats, you're suddenly shocked by Obama naming Garland? Seems disingenuous on its face.

Who said "elected Democrats" or even "prominent Democrats"? I said simply said "Democrats". Now, can you provide a source where the "elected" or "prominent" Democrats have denounced such statements? If they do no denounce it, then they must support it right?

It would be nice if hypocrisy could be left out of politics, but unfortunately both sides have embraced it with gusto. What is really poisoning our democracy is the people that are so willing to point out hypocrisy of the opposition while ignoring it within their own chosen party. Questions for you: Where did you stand on whether Obama's nomination for Scalia's seat was voted on by the Senate or not? Did you think Obama had the Constitutional Authority to replace Scalia back in 2016?

I was propaganda. Bar talk that should have stayed there.
Like you care if I dig up Joe's statement about those looting, trashing, burning, and fighting with police.
So, Trump hasn't denounced the "pool boy" and Falwell's wife thing where Falwell watched, so that must mean he thinks it's pretty cool--right?

You can't make the intellectual distinction between the two and what goes into to both? Explain why it should take as long to vote on a justice for the SCOTUS, especially someone who has recently been confirmed for the appellate court, as it does to craft a HUGE Coronavirus bill.

I don't know what you mean by "picking up a pen" I'm sure it was all done with word processors starting from day one. Try again explain why it should take as long to vote on a justice for the SCOTUS, especially someone who has recently been confirmed for the appellate court, as it does to craft a HUGE Coronavirus bill. All we're talking about is a roll call vote on a name the President sends over nothing has to be "crafted".
