Nothing is mandatory. You can decide to violate an old woman's dying wish or not. Knowing conservatism as I do I know they will revel in their freedom

She didn't say it was, it was just her dying wish. It is typical Republicanism and Trumpism to run roughshod over the wishes of their constituents dying or not and they are doing so here, I'm just pointing it out so others can see and keep it in mind come November.

    Not a big Rush guy.

I'll give the credit for that one to my dear, departed dad. That's what he used to call my mom's gossipy, loudmouthed friends.

He called them "hens" or "clucking hens", but, out of earshot of my mom, he called them "the hellharpies".

My dad was quite the Renaissance man.

Agreed, sort of. I think they have to do until something better can be found. If we vote out a Democrat in many cases we are unavoidably voting in a Republican. The first thing to do is to get rid of people who want to get rid of us, then we can talk about improving things.

Well they left us no real choice. Yes, the half bowl of s**t that is Biden as compared to the full bowl that is Trump.

And who got their wish? Precedence has been set by the Republicans. It's only fair they follow their own rules, right?

Actually no. During his attempt to block the nomination of Garland, McConnell invoked the "Biden rule."

Biden said this even though Bush was still on his first term. McConnell agreed with this logic and used this to block Garland's nomination.

Let's assume they are Republicans. The last eight white nationalists on the planet. So what? There are thousands of terrorists BLM and Antifa pro-Biden supporters rioting, looting and burning. We know they are Biden supporters because they chant "**** Trump" but they don't chant, "**** Biden".

Why are they chanting "**** Trump "? Trump isn't the mayor or the police chief.

Republicans held control of the Senate then, and Republicans have control of the senate now. They can block it then, and they can proceed now. That is the rule. It's called majority rule.

Because Trump continues to sow division in this country. How many times has he referred to Antifa and BLM as terrorist organizations? Each day he minimizes their efforts to social justice by calling them terrorists.

Anti-fascists linked to zero murders in the US in 25 years

A new database of nearly 900 politically motivated attacks and plots in the United States since 1994 includes just one attack staged by an anti-fascist that led to fatalities. In that case, the single person killed was the perpetrator.

Over the same time period, American white supremacists and other rightwing extremists have carried out attacks that left at least 329 victims dead, according to the database.

More broadly, the database lists 21 victims killed in leftwing attacks since 2010 , and 117 victims of rightwing attacks in that same period – nearly six times as much. Attacks inspired by the Islamic State and similar jihadist groups, in contrast, killed 95 people since 2010, slightly fewer than rightwing extremists, according to the data set. More than half of these victims died in a a single attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, in 2016.

Tell me who are the real terrorists in this country...

You mean like in 2013 when the Democrats under Harry Reid used the nuclear option to end the filibuster of executive and judicial nominees (but not the SC). The filibuster had been in place since 1806, and by tradition it should still be there. But Harry wanted a win so badly he ended up screwing the Democrat party forever.

When it suited the Dems, they killed the filibuster. And then Republicans returned the favor by killing the filibuster for supreme court justices. And now you're complaining that they're following the rules and bringing a replacement conservative justice to replace RBG? You've got nobody to blame but your greedy compatriots. They had no respect for tradition and now it's biting you in the butt.

Well terrorizing cities with riots and arson kind of makes your organizations terrorists by definition. Hunting down and murdering Trump supporters makes them murderers.I can't think of anything Trump has done that is divisive. He has unified us in many ways. For instance the First Step Act.
