You mean that you'll eat more of their burgers?

I will go there no more or no less. Good to hear though. I'd like my meat to live atleast a decent life before it's killed. I say that sincerely as messed up as that may sound. In the end though McDonalds just sucks. I guess that cajun chicken deal isn't bad, but for the most part it's not that good.

I don't know. If the animal is going to end up in my stomach anyway, I really don't care how it is treated. How is it considered humane to treat an animal well when it's just going to be slaughtered anyway?

I'm sure that plantation owners back in the slave days didn't care how well that their slaves were treated so long as their cotton fields got picked properly, right?

You have no problem with animal torture?

    Wow

And what do slaves have to do with this? Were they beaten and then cooked and eaten?
    I must be missing something???

I hope you are not trusted to care for small animals.

Because they still have to live for a while....

Plus, studies have shown that meat tastes better when the animal is in a "stress free" type of environment.

I buy all my meat from the College Farm outside of campus. All their cattle/pigs/chickens are free range. They are butchered by the students in a class that goes with whatever AG degree they are getting.

The meat is organic, cheaper than the crappy meat sold in stores, and a very noticeably higher quality.

One selfish reason you might care is that poorly treated animals raised in unsanitary conditions can effect the quality of the meat -- such as e coli or mad cow disease.

One reason you also may care is because animals are sentient beings and should be treated humanely because they feel pain and it is wrong to make innocent beings needlessly suffer.

How is an animal humanely treated? It is given adequate space to graze, fed based on its natural diet, not stacked in cages where it is defecated and pecked by other animals, not killed in such a way that it experiences lasting pain and trauma, etc.

And the slave comment is incredibly distasteful, you use the morality of slave masters to justify your decisions?
