    Afternoon Vegas.
Still waiting for you to explain how Medicare For All will save money for me or people in similar situations to mine.

Wouldn't you save money if your prescriptions were half price?

That would save me somewhere between $100-200 a year. If that is the only change in cost then I would save that much per year. My concern is my premiums and/or copays will go up not to mention my taxes going up to pay for "those less fortunate".

Can this Medicare For All plan guarantee that my costs will not go up except due to inflation?

So it should be left alone until there is proof that it will truly provide care for all and not cost more for those who already have care.

If we needed proof before we did anything in politics absolutely nothing would get done

I understand what you are saying. I just have a problem supporting something like this Medicare For All when it will likely cost me money, when I already have access to what they are proposing, when health care is already available to all who are willing to pay for it.

They do. And it costs you money.

Should we get rid of it?

Get rid of it? Maybe not. Rethink it? Yes. Add additional costs? NO!

I said medicare for all then published prices and people shopping with more and more of their own money-i.e. rising copays. Do you understand yet?

    Shopping?
The prices are fixed by the government.
    There is no shopping

It most certainly is but my concern is it will cost me more money. I have no problem paying my fair share and I feel confident I am doing that now. Don't come asking for more money to support more sick children. At some point we need to realize if you can't feed 'em, don't breed 'em.

You draw the line at this exact place? Screw them. They're not your kids. Not your problem. So why give a penny to them?

Where do you draw the line? When 50% or 75% of your income is going to provide health care for someone else's children? The line has to be drawn somewhere or they want more and more and more.

It is really hard for me to give any support to any government programs that are designed to help the needy. I understand they were originally designed to be as they say "a hand up not a hand out". The problem is today the programs are abused. I know many people who are on various government help programs who really don't need it.

yes this explains why liberalism has grown more and more but failed so badly Sanders and Warren now say the system is still not working and only a huge increase in spending can save it even after after Bush went from 2 to $3 trillion and then to Obama $4.5 trillion. Its "never enough" for a libcommie! Read book by that name!!
