it would go out of business or copy a competitor with a business model that worked with 2/3 lower prices. In this case we would copy Canada Europe Asia. NOw do you understand?

of course which explains why you are so afraid to say what was left out. What do you learn from your fear?

Please stop asking me if I understand. I understand nothing you are proposing because you are not explaining your proposal. Simply saying we would copy Canada does not explain how you would reduce costs by 1/3.

if you copy Canada you reduce prices 2/3 since that is what you copied namely a system with prices 2/3 lower. NOw do you understand?

Not so much that they do pay 1/3 of what we do, what I am asking is that you explain HOW they do it.
Again, you keep saying "copy". Please explain the Canadian health care system in detail. Obviously you already understand it completely and I don't. If you would take the time to explain it in detail then we would both understand. Once I understand how it works in Canada maybe I would be in favor of this single payer system. Show me. Convince me.

Well seeing as you have been wasting your time here, trying to no avail, to explain it to me I thought you might have a different way to explain it or maybe could provide some links to pertinent websites. I have done much research and found little that explains how other countries do their single payer. Even Bernie does little to explain it other than suggesting it will cost a lot.

Anyway, it's been interesting. You have a good evening.

I hope if and/or when you get your Single Payer that it is everything I have told you it will be.

    Sincerely,

    Rich

of course it does. if we are going to pay 2/3 less one of the obvious cuts is going to come from labor since health care is very labor intensive. Do you understand?

dear, their systems are not a secret. When the time came we could hire people from their systems to implement here. Makes sense now/??

That would be a good start. I'd also make the Medicare more cost effective and have more price bargaining. I'd also set up cost effective public hospitals to compete against over-priced private ones.

If everyone was on Medicare every hospital would be public. There would be no price competition

Not true. Current Medicare recipients go to private hospitals.

When there is only one payer, it reimburses the same to any provider giving the same service.
The patient does not pay a penny more

I'd allow private insurance for any coverage people want on top of public healthcare. I'd also have a deductible and make patients pay a certain percentage of their healthcare costs. These services paid by public insurance will go to public hospital or private hospitals.

far better to have private capitalist against private capitalist. Do you want a public auto company to whip the private companies into shape?
