A lot more. I'm just not sure how we, as a society, can repair what was done to the black culture for hundreds of years. We still got big problems, and failure to acknowledge that isn't going to help. But making everything race-neutral won't help either imo. And it was that stance that prompted Fox to retaliate, imo.

Hey, I already gave you another imaginary character as being Black:

Ergo, the Tooth Fairy is Black....

WHAHAHAHA! Still trying to find a way to justify being wrong. How fun!

Its sad to see that "race neutral" is seen as something that is taboo or horrific...........especially when you compare it to the "racism" that's currently done. Making Santa ONLY white = good. Making Santa more representative of all the people = bad.

Yes, race neutral would be BETTER than depicting a fantasy figure as ONLY one race. I just wonder why this is seen as something so horrific that the thought of it turns your stomach.

Because as are most ideas from the hard left, it isn't practical in real life. While it might make one feel all warm and fuzzy inside to say that fantasy characters should be race-neutral, that statement means squat to the actual artist who wants to depict one. That person must make a decision. Or there are no imaginary characters besides animals.

You are correct, of course. Even if there is no practicable remedy, denying that damage was done over hundreds of years rather than facing it only compounds the problem.

TV networks are concerned with ratings, and that is the driving force behind whatever they do.

He's from Lycia. Lycia is inhabited by Caucasians. And every painting of him shows him as Caucasian.

Because St. Nicholas was white, therefore Santa Claus, based off him, was made white, and that's how he is normally shown. If he wasn't white he would be based even less on the actual St. Nicholas.

Why is it such a big deal that Santa not be white? It's like getting offended over the fact that most fairy tale characters are white, because they're European. They're fictional, but they're European, so we expect them to be white.

He is based on a "gift-giver" and that gift giver could be any color/race. The "gift giving" is what represents St. Nicholas, not the color of his skin.

If asians wanted a gift giver of their own, based off of St. Nicholas.............of course they would make him an asian gift giver; not white!

Why is it so hard to understand that people of different races and colors live in the US?

It's a big deal to the right wing crowd that Santa Claus has to be white, not the other way around.

When Alysa Harris wrote her article, she suggested taht Santa should be whatever color the beholder wanted him to be, as he is a purveyor of good will toward all men.

Evidently that wasn't good enough for Roger Ailes and his news model Meghyn Kelly.

They understand it all right. They just don't like it. Fox's audience is almost 100% white and nearly 50% over 65.

They knew what they were doing by making a big deal out of an obscure little essay that nobody really paid any attention to until Fox put it on TV.

Race baiting is always ugly, but especially so in time for the holidays.

Guess that is why all the lefties are so incensed that someone claimed (correctly) that Santa has always been depicted as white.

That's not what she said, and we both know it. Now you're trying to dodge by making stuff up.

Well said, then why is it so hard for you to understand that in Meggan Kelly's world Santa is White? Why? You just hate, right! Racist man that you are.

And the beholder was Meggan Kelly and she has him white, and that infuriates you! What a schmuck.

St. Nicholas was real! he was alive in Europe and why he'd be white. Come on man, it isn't that hard to go look it up. It's what you tell us loyal right wingers all the time. yet you are too lazy.

Come on, that's not what Harris said and we all know it. The title of her article is Santa should not be a white man. That's different than saying, I want to make my Santa black, or a penguin. She said all of us who have been making our Santa white are wrong. I took offense to that.

Let's play a game: how many adjectives does Harris use to describe the white skin color? Now, how many different adjectives can a white person use to describe black skin in an article before someone cries foul?

If the title of her article was that santa shouldn't be white(and he should be a penguin), then I wonder why you purposefully told a non truth with the intent to deceive.................when you said that she wants santa displayed as black.

Who knows why you guys CANT or dont WANT to think. I believe its because you don't WANT to think, but if you want to prove its because you CANT think, im willing to listen and even change my beliefs. Its up to you! LMAO!

Why is it so difficult for you to answer a question on the color of a penguin? Did you have an issue with a penguin in your past? Oh, I see you and the penguins.......shame on you.

    - - - Updated - - -

Hey, BTW, if it doesn' matter what color he was then why are you arguing against him being white? Isn't white a color?

In fact, white encompasses all colors, look it up! Oh, damn, you don't look things up, you expect everyone else to.
