    Melanie admired Moochelle and thought incorporating some of Moochelle's ideas into her own speech Monday night was acceptable. It was flattering. It was also politically naive.

    No harm was intended, except by liberal critics who smelled blood and had their long knives out.

    This kinda reminds me of a conversation I had with Greg Sargent at the Washington Post when he started calling the people who opposed the Ground Zero Mosque "racists" and "Islamophobes". When I pointed out that Muslims such as M. Zuhdi Jasser and others opposed the mosque and asked him if they were "racists" and "Islamophobes" too, he bleated that my question wasn't made in good faith. :lol:

    Funny stuff.

    Needless to say, when I informed him that it was his gratuitous slander, not my question, that wasn't made in good faith, he terminated our conversation.

    What a laughable little man. Whatever the WaPo is paying him it's too much. :)

    Obama has one of the highest approval ratings in politics right now. Millennials are absolutely crazy about Bernie. You guys lost the last two elections, you should not consider your beliefs to be that of others. The Dems will be energized. Those are some heavy hitters when it comes to speakers.

    I'm truly surprised that this thread is still alive! It's embarrassing and I cringe for those that argue that this is plagiarism. I'm fascinated though in the ability of humans to stand before their fellows and earnestly proclaim their imbecility. Talk about arguing one's own limitations!

    By definition a cliche cannot be plagiarized. These trite phrases are common place and arguably overused. Honestly who among us hasn't used these very words? As a parent I've probably said them a hundred times. Who among us hasn't read these very words? Most every autobiography or memoir I've ever read has these tired kernels of moral advice salted throughout. Ever read a self help book? Listened to a motivational speaker?

    I'll say it again: by definition one cannot plagiarize a cliche.
