Except that is not a major component of the business expenses for META, is it? For its employees yes. But corporations do not pay for your gas as an employee because it is not deductible under IRS rules. Try again.
Good! All of us have been through this if you graduated from college in the early 1970s. “The young hippies” at Meta have introduced to the real word. “Papa Zuckerberg” is no different from any other capitalist when it comes to preserving his wealth. The difference is he tells you he’s different, which shows he’s a hypocrite. The days of achieving good things at work and holding your job until retirement are over, even at a woke company like Meta.
No, not Disney. Since 2018 Mike Bloomberg corporations have spent more buying Meta ads than any other business. I’m sorry, but if you own a company, for example Mike has at least one fracking company he has direct ownership in that is not public (does not have publicly traded stock). It matters not how ownership is compensated, that investment most definitely has direct operating expenses and income that will influence Mike’s cash flow as well as net worth eventually. When cash flow is affected advertising is often reduced. Your error here is you seem to think all investments are publicly traded stocks. And I NEVER mentioned taxation. Taxation is completely irrelevant here. I’m simply pointing out META is DEFINITELY directly affected by what happens in the energy (oil) sector, contrary to your claim. When major advertisers that are META’s income stream are in the energy business through direct ownership, META “has something to do” with the fossil fuel industry.
LOL. META’s method of paying for gas is more sophisticated than the milage deduction allowed by the IRS most companies use to do what you say isn’t done!
Metaverse is a flop, to much invested and its having major losses. He needs to lay people off, and in my opinion stop trying to be a face, he is not as popular as he was when he was and the company were young.
are prime delivers run to our door now, and seem to change often.... often deliver to wrong address not sure what going on.... over worked?
sigh almost every single thing we touch somehow needs fossil fuel. Costs go up, advertisers and consumer have less $$$ That means LESS REVENUE and thus, layoffs Is that concept really difficult for you to understand or do you think that money just magically appears because Democrats say so? Did your daddy ever tell you that money doesn't grow on trees? There is truth to that
US has been doing that for decades. Why do you think we have soldiers still in Syria and why we are funding the war in Yemen??
So let's try to unpackage your remarks. Facebook lives off ads. Ads are paid for ultimately by manufacturing, the majority of manufacturing is dealing with astronomical increases in product cost that use petroleum, like plastic, higher cost to heat and cool facilities and higher transportation costs due to high gas/diesel costs. Those companies are forced to cut back, and marketing is part of that. This in turn includes cuts to facebook income and forces facebook to cut back, which includes everything Zuch discussed. OfCourse Energy costs have something to do with facebook outside of electricity and heating/cooling their offices. If you can't see that your being too simple minded. Yes, all energy sectors must work together! So why in the hell would one purposely try to eliminate on sector by overregulation, not allowing new drilling leases, or increasing royalty fees by 50%. You don't hear Republicans say kill solar or Wind, you hear them tell you it doesn't always work and in a lot of places it's more expensive to reach the levels needed. It is dumber than hell to suggest any business wouldn't want free solar energy. The problem is it must be as reliable as regular energy, flip the switch and we're running.
Metas failures have nothing to do with the energy sector. Nice try. They are because Mark's 10 billion dollar Horizon project is failing spectacularly.
He was hired a month or 2 ago, so he was already in, but could be already out, which would make his decision quite costly, since he left a VERY good job. Baby was just born too....ack.
