Michelle Obama attacks Mrs. Romney for not working a day in her life

Michelle Obama has no right to attack Mrs. Romney for not working. " White house sources today (24 Aug.
2011 claimed that the first lady has spent $10 Million of U.S taxpayer money on vacations in the past year."
She spent over 1 million in tax payer money this year ( 2012 ) on a vacation to Hawaii. She must think
she is royalty or some sort of diva.

 

Michelle Obama is a joke. She's playing around the world on the working man's dime and only takes time out of her busy vacation schedule to tell American kids their fat or how she isn't proud of America. Then she's off again. This is what you get with affirmative action law degree's.

This sorry excuse for a human being needs to go away.

My response stands regardless of the point of this thread. She is so irrelevant that it doesn't matter what she spews from her mouth. How many millions has it cost the taxpayers to send her to Aspen and Hawaii and wherever else she's tromped off too? How many people are unemployed?

She doesn't care as long as she gets to have her fun. Tell me why someone that does so little has to take so many vacations on our dime?

You sound like a person who cannot accept the fact that a Black family calls the White House their home and are THE FIRST FAMILY in the land, and that as such, with the (relatively) low income that such an important and responsible position brings, the security, and the transportation, and other "fringe benefits" are necessary.

Do you really believe that Cindy Mc Cain would have worried about how much her vacation cost?

And, by the way, I believe there is a rule in this forum that requires us to focus on the OP, and I do not believe that Mrs. Obama's trip to Hawaii was in anyway related to the OP.

Any first lady that took unnecessary vacations that cost us millions of taxpayer dollars when the country is in such economic turmoil would be deserving of America's rage. And, yes! Do you realize that President Obama's annual income was about 3/4 of a millions dollars for 2011? Do you know how much he could make on Wall Street, or just on the talk circuit like the other former Presidents? Let's not even go that far. . .do you know how much Palin made over the last couple of years?

When a person becomes the President of the United States, he (and hopefully she in the future) forgoes a MUCH higher income while he/she is in office. And the "fringe benefits" including the ability (actually, the obligation) to fly on Air force 1 or other highly secure flights are in fact part of the compensation offered the POTUS.

My point is that, taking the job as POTUS comes with some wonderful advantages. . .like living in the White House, and having a staff, and having security (although he wouldn't need the security for him and his family if he wasn't President!), and flying on Air Force 1, and other wonderful forms of transportation. Those are PART of the job as President. When President Obama leaves office, those "fringe benefits" will be transferred to another family who will become the First Family.

Every President has taken vacations. Some have taken a lot more vacations than President Obama and his family. The house they rented in Hawaii was at their own expense. The trip to Hawaii, obviously wasn't, as the cost of assuring security wasn't (but then again, security details has to be 24/7 anyway, anywhere, for the duration of the Presidency!).

Get real! Your focus on your hatred for the First Family and your compulsive need to find EVERYTHING wrong with them is driving you to make stupid comments.

 

I agree. Mrs Romney has contributed the products of her womb to the greater good of the nation many times over.

Compared with Angeline Jolie, who just imports her sprogs from faraway places, she is a saint.

I'm not concerned with Barack. I was talking about his wife's trips without him. They are unnecessary and expensive. As for speaking fees or how much Obama makes, you do realize he is still the President. Do you have any doubt that he will be raking in millions once he is out of office? Comparing him now to what former presidents are making is an irrelevant statement.

The President's salary is based on all the "extras" or "fringe benefits" that he is to receive while in office. That includes the transportation and necessary security for his whole family. It is NONE of your business if the First lady decides to go to Hawaii for her vacation, or to Vail.

It takes a small, uneducated mind to criticize the life style of the First Family.

But. . .what does exist, is the fact that your kind will treat the First Lady like trash, and complain about an INEXISTANT "INSULT" to a woman whom has as yet to contribute anything to this country.

Here is one exemple of how the First Lady is treated in this forum:

 

Taking trips in excess when the taxpayer has to pay for it is the issue here. Yes the first family is entitled to security and all that comes with the office but when you over indulge at the expense of the people it becomes a problem. Especially when so many in the country are suffering. One trip a year would be understandable but not as many times as Michelle takes off on her own.

It is wasteful
