A friend of mine just cancelled a trip to Mexico and went to the Turks.

Invaders is an accurate description; it is clearly what they intend to do. The people who think that it is harmless should understand that were this group successful at overwhelming the border, the next group would be 5 times as big, and the one after that 5 times bigger again. Immigrants knock on the door and ask to enter as either guests or applicants to become citizens or to be granted asylum.
Respect for our nation, and for our laws, if a fundamental qualifying element in being considered for immigration. Lack of it is an unequivocal disqualification.

Invaders simply plan to kick your door in and take residence in your home- or simply take your home when there numbers require it. That is criminal on the face of it, both by legal definition and by common sense definition.

Trump has said he would call in troops if needed, and that is the appropriate thing to do. If there aren't enough troops available, a call for volunteers to defend the border would more than fill the need.

It's the way they ask that makes a difference- as in, "or else"...

Asylum is not granted for everything, and excludes fears of domestic abuse and gang violence. (Obama had allowed women who said their husbands were violent to get asylum, the attorney general reversed that). The decision states :" “The asylum statute does not provide redress for all misfortune.”

There has to be a legitimate reason beyond "I can't find a job", or I don't make enough money".
