If you listened to the UN observers, you would know that the majority of the people in Syria want a secular state, and want to keep Assad as president. The do not want sharia law, and they not want to be broken up into parts. They have always lived together, and they want to continue to live together.

Go watch the videos so you can learn something....

Quite simple, the original rebels were not jihadist,
as what you've stated Syria is the most secular nation in the Middle East.

    I'm there,
but as a leader what did Assad do to harmonize his country?
For now I think he created a battle/war zone out of it.
As the leader of Syria what is his prognosis before? and how would he steer his country for the betterment of everyone?.
Can I call him a pea brain or something? or is it just the lust for power?

Stop with the knee-jerk compassion - that's what has made it last so long. You think if Assad were to be assassinated everything would be hunky-dorey? I assure you it wouldn't, it would be a thousand times worse and lightweight liberals like you would be to blame.

Take her advice - watch some non-MSM videos and learn from them.

It's perfectly obvious to me that your country and mine, and now France, are hell-bent on starting World War 3 I'm afraid. There can be no other reason for this anti-Russia insanity. Ah well, que sera sera.

Watching the hapless multitudes out there, I could assert that they need not only with my knee-jerk compassion but with the international community as well,
do we have to sacrifice so many just because of a person wanted to stay in power? if Assad's rule is for the betterment of Syrians then why Syrians now suffered so much? is he blind enough not see that.
There's no hope with Assad better take chances with an another leader he was already tested and he failed big time.

    - - - Updated - - -

It's a fact what happened out there and no need to watch non-MSM videos,
read or else watch the news coverage.

You obviously have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, so no further comment.

The Syrian rebels/terrorists are a very small minority of 'takfiris' which shouldn't be allowed to impose their will on the majority of the Syrian people. It's obvious from the war and sacrifices, that the Syrian people do not want them, nor do they want to be massacred or forced to accept sharia law. If it wasn't so, they wouldn't be giving their lives to free their country from them and the evil nations that support them.

There is an audio proving that the Americans not only were talking to ISIS before they bombed, killed and maimed the Syrian soldiers, but they also directed ISIS as to where they should be attacked.

So let me ask you, would you want terrorists to be imposing their laws and beliefs on you? Does anyone in the coalition which is so adamant in destroying Syria, want the extremists and sharia law in their own country? So why are they supporting the terrorists in Syria? The hypocrisy and double standards are appalling.

These evil nations like the US, Israel, KSA, Qatar, France, Britain, Turkey, etc., do not give a damn about the Syrian people... and want the war to go on, otherwise they wouldn't be covering up the genocide of Christians in Syria ...which has been acknowledged by the UN. All they care about is their own financial and geo political interests... and to heck with the Middle Eastern 'untermenchens'. Isn't that Nazism, or is it wrong only if they're Jews?

Thank God there is a Russia to fight it.... Once again.

That is during Hafez's era, We know he is an Alawite. If only Bashar exercise the what so called promised reforms making a true meaning about Syria's multi sectarianism then Syria will never have reached this abominable situation. He should counter in diplomatic ways the onslaught of the Bush administration and that of the Arab Spring but he was not intelligent enough to do that and now his people is suffering and dying.

Not Assad has begun this war. Not he doesn't give it to finish. That war has ended, it is necessary to cease to support islamists rebels and to begin to be at war seriously with ISIS.

There are no evil nations, there are evil lobbies that subvert nations.

    Again?

If you are referring to the SU - it was an evil empire that tried to destroy the Russian culture and church, that killed millions of Christians, because it was subverted by the same evil lobbies that now subvert the western world.

    Soviet Union you mean?

    Stereotype

This is in order to deal with the Russian culture of the Soviet Union fought against illiteracy, popularized by Russian writers, historical museums open, creating the world's best ballet?

Many churches have been destroyed by the people right after the revolution. Because the church top served oppression of simple people. But normal priests remained and continued to keep orthodox belief. From the beginning of the Great Patriotic War in 1941 the state began to encourage orthodox church often directly. Many priests have received the state awards. Monasteries and temples were restored. I was born in the believer to an orthodox family and I don't remember any repressions in relation to the parents and the grandmother with the grandfather.

Or, nevertheless, you write not about the USSR? Because it wasn't even in the inflamed imagination.

A amicable dialogue with his subjects would do,
not with force and bullets, if he was able to manage the situation in the most diplomatic and nationalistic way,
then non of this predicament now would happen.
After all he is just an eye doctor no or little knowledge whatsoever about politics.

I know where it was going - we're talking about who attacked it and what they'd have to gain by doing so?
