But they're the rule where I live. My husband is super responsible, hard working, well educated etc .. as was his black father, and his black father ... etc etc. All the black males we know are similar. The 'failures' (as men) are all white.

I suspect the sample size was very very small.

Then you've basically missed the point of everything entirely.

Most black Americans are not part of the gangsta, or gangsta wannabe culture , that's true.

White men raise their own children at a far higher rate, regardless. Therein is the source of the trouble in violent , black communities.

That Black people are the predominant racist group in our country now? No I pretty much got that.

The point of the show is showing how black people, particularly those in a predominantly white college, see social and racial injustices, racial issues and stereotypes and how they tackle these issues, since they mirror things that happen in real life.

Yes. By being racists themselves. Not very productive if you ask me but I actually try and use logic and **** so what would I know. The show is racist. Period. You can try and reword the dictionary all you want but it doesn't change facts. I could give a **** about what message the show is trying to give.

To be fair for the longest time everything basically was for white people only so it made since for those organizations to be created in order to give black people a chance. I don't see discrimination in the initial creation of those organizations.

I'm just wondering at what point do they outlive their usefulness?

If I were black and I started a business 70 years ago I probably needed something like a black chamber of commerce because the regular one might discriminate against me. However in today's world I'd expect and demand equal treatment from the regular chamber of commerce and really I don't think I want to be part of the black one as it set me apart from the white owned businesses.

Blacks are in the minority. It's a predominantly white nation. The point is that our 'lowest socio-economic' and prisoner population are pretty much exclusively white. Our non-whites are more successful in almost all measures ... with the exception of perhaps two smallish groups.

It's the opposite where I live. Single mother households are predominantly white.

You haven't bothered to watch the show and my last post clearly went over your head, so you saying it's racist with no context or any attempt to even understand it means absolutely nothing.

Because black people have historically needed these, in fact still do, and white people don't. We've been over this too many times.

Why would it be fantasy land?

How is it that you're unaware that Asians/Indians/Sub-Saharan Africans etc outstrip white people (in the west) by a good margin? I simply don't believe you don't know this. America's Ivy League colleges are crawling with Chinese and Indian students.

Did you think they couldn't be successful because they're not white? How do you explain this bizarre attitude?

Let's try this again: black people have historically needed these, and still do. These things were established because black people were forbidden from other ones by white people, and as such they were necessary. To this day they're still necessary because of their proven success. White people don't need them because they already had them.

Until you actually watch an episode, your posts mean nothing. Have you ever watched an episode of "Black-Ish?"

so how is that equal for a black women to be able to be allowed to participate in the Miss US pageant and the Black US pageant but a white women can only participate in one?
how is it equal that a black student can apply for a regular college scholarships plus a UNCF one but a white student cant?

when you allow one to have extra opportunities then another that isn't equilty but special treatment admit it

There is no race requirement when you look up the criteria for Miss Black USA. There are scholarships for Italians, Irish, etc., etc.

    Happy?
