If we are so worried about children dieing needlessly in this country then clearly the Cellphone is mightier than the sword or the AK47!

Facts & Statistics About Texting & Driving (Updated for 2018

Far more INNOCENT Men, Women, children are senselessly killed in this country yearly from braindead cellphone users! So taking in to fact "THE NUMBERS" of deaths alone puts the Florida shooting at least second to cellphone murder! We all know that gun drama and shooters are great conversational catch topics but if people were truly out to thwart senseless murder of innocents wouldn't it be far more logical to address a problem that WE ALL face every single time we leave or homes regardless if for a jog/walk, a bicycle ride or a quick ride to the market or burger joint..

But as long as we address a gunman that killed 17 people that should really make a huge difference in the whole scheme of things

I'm going out on limb here and say he has never shot at a zigzagging coyote at a full run with a bolt action rifle ;) Or tried to sell a pelt that's been destroyed by a 185 gr bullet either :) Then there is that whole ballistics crap differences in a 32 gr bullet traveling at 4000 fps and Bullet drop and flat trajectory's, plus wind effect and all that sort of nonsense :)

I suspect he's one of those that thinks an AR-15 could double as an elephant gun...

In most States laws forbid you to have a magazine that holds more than 3 Rounds when you are hunting.

Most generally for shotgun two in the mag and one in the pipe! But the plug can be easily removed "5x1" for non-hunting activity. But I have seen after market stuff for removable mags that hold far more round all the way to carousel mags ;)

That's shotguns and has to do with waterfowl populations and certain other fowl. As far as I know almost no regulations apply to deer hunting in most states save minimum bullet weight which is rare. It's good idea to know your hunting partners as well and understand the lay of the land where you're going. I could tell a lot of stories about idiots I have know and really bad hunting trips.

Here it is .243 or better. But the real fun is varmint and that's where the .223 and under caliber shines!

High school students think with their hearts, not with their brains. They're immature.

I think we should listen to what they say. But to do as they wish without taking a step back and applying logic would be foolish and irresponsible.

Mass-murderers apparently have a different perspective on what constitutes "sport". Guns that are more deadly against "varmints" are likewise so against people.

Parents who have paid the ultimate price in unwilling sacrifices do not share your amusement nor appreciate your unfeeling frivolous responses.

    Didn't vote, don't know.

If they want to walk out, do it. Just make it up in the summer.

...more like 'the road to gun confiscation.'

Gun control to a dem is code for gun confiscation.

...they are afraid of a civil war stemming from Dems abolishing the 2A and calling in the guns to disarm America.

I think they should shut down government schools all together, and eliminate the DoE, as unsafe and ineffective.

Strange when I suggested that the age of guns ownership should be 21 the same as buying a can of beer and that was rejected here but if too many teenagers are for gun control then they should not in fact be allow to vote only allowed to buy heavy weapons able to killed large numbers of their age mates.

Plus they are being used by the left as political pawns in their quest to outlaw guns.

What does 'meaningful gun control' mean? Feel good toothless legislation or the confiscation all guns?

They were neither uncaring or frivolous. The man asked for what other things these weapons could be used for besides mass murder I provided two. There are others. You may now climb down from your virtue signaling tower and go about your usual business.

It must better to allow them to be killed in our schools like animals in a slaughter house to continue as after all we have no moral duty to protected them.

Yes. Among the the last things any sane American should ever do is let a handful of incompetent government bureaucrats have the unilateral authority to extrajudicially strip them of their Constitutionally recognized and protected rights.

The rights the Constitution protects...life, liberty, pursuits of happiness...should only be revocable after an individual is convicted of violating, or proved incapable of navigating, society's established rule of law.

Preemptively stripping rights from people who've done nothing wrong is a Pandora's Box...one that people who've already expressed their hatred for guns and gun rights should NEVER be given the key.

I know a lot of parents that would be overjoy by your lightning analogy and could benefit from you traveling to Parkland, Florida to express those thoughts directly to them.
