Modern atheists are more moral than religious people, in general.

    http://commonsenseatheism.com/wp-co...n-of-Proof-and-the-Presumption-of-Atheism.pdf

Block #4 specifically addressed what you ask.

Notice its from an atheist web site?

And it flows from this oft repeated proof about why atheists actually hav eto back up what they say.

I am glad you are dragging in Big foot, but you said you could PROVE God was not real - not compare him to other things that are false. Science is definitely hard on atheists isn't it? Er .. I mean secular humanists.

Wow, someone has not read anything I have written. All faith have valid points about them, and, unlike you, the one that best fits me doesn't invalidate all other faiths. I have prayed with Muslims and Jews, joined Buddhist monks in their monastaries, Hindu's in their Temples, and consider a great honor that these people trusted me enough to share their faith and teachings with me. I take great pride and satisfaction in seeing the commonalties between faiths ... even secular humanism.

You, in sharp contrast, have maligned every single religion out there - including the one you claim as your own. Why do you need to disparage other belief systems in order to validate your own?

That behavior BTW - is not secular humanism. Its just you.

Yep, that is all they do is claim it. And then tell people how stupid they are for ... not having a doctrine or set of standards upon which they expect to be judged.

Why its infinitely superior to just SAY you are better. And you only have to convince yourself, not others.

this is the god who parted the red sea, was responsible for the walk on water trick, and other miraculous incidents all which broke laws of science...this is the god that created and therefore caused earthquakes/hurricanes/tornadoes why? for amusement? it likes to see babies crushed/drowned...this sky monster can create disasters then surely it can stop them?...this god is either a psychopathic killer or as more likely does not exist...

Oh, look, ANOTHE atheist ripping things out of context because Jericho and Joplin ar ethe same thing! Duh!

Yep, our rationally superior atheists cannot tell the difference, everyone else can ... but its because they are dumb.

I wonder why atheists continue to prattle about how rational and smugly superior they are, and then what do we get? Trite.

Well, I've seen enough of your posts to know that you are clearly not an atheist.

    Look.

There are Christians who are moral.
There are Christians who don't have a moral bone in their bodies.
There are atheists who are moral.
There are atheists who don't have a moral bone in their body.

Being religious doesn't make you more moral, and it doesn't mean you are a better person than someone who isn't religious.

I wouldn't put much faith in these 'studies'.

Well, if God does not exist, then you are delusional when blaming such atrocities on something that does not exist. If God does exist and you continue to blame God for those atrocities, then you are refuting your own claim of not believing in God, because God would have to exist (at the very least) in your mind. If God does exist, then you are playing with forces that are so much more immense than yours, that you could be biting off more than you can chew. Don't get choked on what you are saying.

Monster? MONSTER? But, but, I thought that the Christian "god" and Allah were all-loving, and merciful. How can that be!? The Bible/Quran tells me just the opposite, so either YOU are wrong, or their books are wrong, it can't be both.
Which one is it, guys? Is "god" all-loving, or a monster.

Oh look trolling begts trolling! Or is that science?

Just remember atheists, behavior like this will eventually breed a back lash. As we see, its wide spread in atheism.

Interesting, perhaps you could display some critical thinking and explain to me how one atheist after another can come in preaching, and it is preaching, the exact same dogma (with the same fallacious end states) without the use of doctrine? Instruction?

Seems odd that Moaish uniformity exists by pure accident doesn't it?

I just did. When a person speaks about reality as it really is, they present the arguments of the atheists and the left. The leftist and atheist perspective is objective reality, and those who can observe the world around them will inevitably present those positions. It's the same way that people keep independently deriving the foundations of socialism--it's just plain common sense.

It's hardly pure accident--it's the natural result of observing the world around you without ideological blinders.

    Really? :omfg:

So tell me, if observation of teh natural world is what drives you - how is it that one atheist after another comes in and sees slavery, sexism, racism, and ... genocide when there is none happening?

Tell me, homosexual marriage seems to be a banner issue for atheists, and yet, atheism as a foec has been around for centuries. Why is this a RECENT banner issue for atheism? Isn't it popularity driving it? I mean before it was a political issue, atheism was silient on it - now is all about .. freedom? Not sanctimony though, never that.

Would you acre to offer a naturalist view of teh differences between say the Anglican position and the Catholic position on homosexuality? Would you care to offer us some naturalitic view points on sexuality and its importance, its ethical implications? Of course not.

How about you explain to me the total lack of standard in this naturalistic world view? I mean it seems to be, that atheists like, indeed demand that they be treated with respect - yet, they are incredibly disrespectful to others based solely on their ideology?

Me thinks that atheists are more deeply effected by their ideology than perhaps any other collection of people on teh Earth. Why? Because unlike every other people on the Earth, atheists are claiming that their ideology has no effect on them. Even when it pretty damb clear that it is. And when we are unaware of these influences and creeping subjectivism into objectivity, its damb hard to safe guard against.

Or ... I suppose you could just pretend its isn't happening.

Because our beliefs are more modern, more moral, and more reality-based than religious beliefs which are more ancient, less moral, and more superstition-based.

Right - I though my status was 'ignore' A modern person would be able to see the clear disconnect between the claim and the result.

There is nothing modern about your antics. Immaturity and dishonesty have been around since man kind was made.

Once again, its a simple question, why does your faith and concern require respect, but no one else's? You have a unch of empty vaccuous claims.

And as General Zod just educated us, those that claim things that conflict with reality have mental health issues ... its the General Zod way ... so, what are you going to do about your mental health issues? As this is the General Zod way to deal with the clear disconnect between your claims and observable reality.

And whose fault is it that atheists sit in silence or join in on these antics?

Well, perhaps now you understand, in direct defiance of F's claims, why atheism is sliding down the old trust scale.

People know charlatans when they see them.

 I'm pointing out and you're delusions prevent you from seeing the contradictions in your beliefs, not mine..."your" god created everything is responsible for everything, it's god's will whether natural phenomena which kills hundreds of thousands of innocents or it awards a football win to Tim Tebow...a god that can part the seas but can't be bothered to prevent an earthquake, but oh yeah it so will award an Oscar or Grammy to a millionaire, that's some god you got there...

the contradictions that are evident to atheists don't even occur to the devoted, the delusion is strong within the brain washed...

Umm no, your ideological blinders prevent you from acknowledging something quite simple - free agency.

Its not God that rapes people - its humans. Its not God that starts wars - its men. Its not God that steal or lies - its men. Its not God that points fingers and castigates - its men.

And now, earthquaakes and other natural phenomena are 'evil'? Without these things, the earth suffers from a lack of nutrients and indeed, our very atmosphere doesn't exist. Yet you KNOW that a valcano could erupt, and you move next to it anyway, and God is cruel because inevitably, eventually, the thing erupts :omfg:

Atheists seem very quick to blame something they don't even believe in, but the actions of men, which they think are BETTER and actually cause these things ... well, what should one make of that?

Is atheism the death of individual responsibility? Of the resilience that comes from realizing that our choices have consequences, and when something bad happens, we can make choices to put those bad things behind us?

I am sure maligning God helps earth quake victims though

it's god that creates earthquakes and tsunami's, god could just as easily stop them but no, he chooses to help with the important stuff like awards for Oscars, Grammy's and football victories...

he/it kills the earthquake victims it's men and women that come to the aid of survivors, let us know when god actually appears on the scene of one of it's disasters to lend a hand...

    Why would he?

Once again, to an atheist anything bad happening is evil. Again, plate tectonics, which is necessary for a healthy ecosystem, MUST happen ... otherwise, no atmosphere, less nutrients for the ecosystem. It must be that way.

But, you if you fear tsunamis, why live on the coast? Or should God stop the tectonic plate process because YOU might be killed? Are YOU more important than everyone else?

And here is the really big difference, you think that your life is the most precious thing in the universe. That is nothing greater than YOUR life.

News flash, you are going to day someday. No matter what you do, you will die. Now, would you care to tell me how dying in a earth quake is inherently evil? As opposed to dying in your sleep?

Either way, you are only given so much time, and what you do in that time is what matters. What a waste of time to live the precious moments of your life demanding more time to do ...

I am amazed that atheists would us something as natural and unavoidable as death to castigate God. Every living thing eventually dies. Deal with it.

Why would God stop it from happening, when its GOING to happen?
