BTW, what's the point of a GOP win any way if the winner is one of those dreaded evil "RINO's"? Seems to me that the "true conservatives" would consider that a Democrat/Liberal win any way, which makes everything you just typed above entirely worthless.

 

There is an interesting fact. Most African-Americans are "mixed race" often dating back to slavery where the slave owner raped their black female slaves. Of course if the off-spring have dark skin they're considered to be African-Americans (e.g. President Obama) and not "white" Americans.

So if the claim that Conservatives represent the majority of "mixed race" families in America we have to question why their "black children" typically oppose the "conservative" agenda in America because only about 2% of "African-Americans" (i.e. mixed race with dark skin) are Republicans and but 95% of African-Americans support Democrats.

It's also interesting to consider why a liberal "African-American" Democrat would marry a conservative "White American" Republican when their political ideologies are juxtaposed. Of course there is the case of "black adoption" where the poor black child is involuntary subjected to "conservative" anti-black racial prejudice during formative years. We do have to wonder about that because it is involunary by the child but perhaps "White Conservatives" enjoy "owning" a black child as a sign of social status.

(Again, this small advantage for Republicans is not large enough to be statistically significant).

My original post dealt with the adopted and step-child situation because that had been on my mind since the Romney family portrait dispute. After scheduling the post last night for publishing this morning, I began thinking about a family situation closer to that of the latest MSNBC contretemps.
I went back to the most recent General Social Survey (2012) to look at those who lived in households that included a child of the head of household or a child of the spouse of the head of household (774 respondents). Families with biological, adopted, and step-children were included (essentially variables RELHH1-RELHH14 & RELSP1-RELSP14 with codes 4 & 41-43). I also broke the data down by minority v. non-Hispanic white (non-Hispanic whites were those who were white and non-Hispanic on all the variables RACE, RACECEN1, RACECEN2, RACECEN3, and HISPANIC).

On this analysis of families with children, again the differences are not significant:
11.9% of conservatives live in mixed-race families compared to 11.4% of liberals.
9.5% of Republicans live in mixed-race families compared to 11.2% of Democrats.

Not a statistically relevant number- but going by your sources sources- your claim is demonstrably false.

Well now that's difficult to say. Nobody is absolutely certain just how legal those drone strikes are. So either all of those are murder or none of them are. Then again one or two of them were execution strikes without trial against our own citizens . . . which definitely are classified as murder. So at least twice? But mostly he seems to be way more a liar than a murderer to me. I would call lying a talent, but since he always gets caught, perhaps not so much of a talent as a compulsion.
