Insurers 'will strenuously resist Republican efforts to dismantle' Obamacare Yep, one of those lies Gruber referenced. We tried to tell you but you just wouldn't listen.
Just look at Wellsprings financials. We told you that the insurance companies will get guaranteed income from Obamacare.
Sounds like good news for both Obamacare and the insurance companies. You free market Republicans should be ecstatic. Or do you want to cutout the insurance companies and go to a single payer system.
Would you care to actually try to explain how this has anything to do with crony capitalism? Of course first you might want to look up just what crony capitalism means. A good start will be to tell us exactly what your alternative to insurance companies would be since favoritism to insurance companies as opposed to an alternative would be necessary if crony capitalism is to be an actuality.
Crony capitalism is a term describing an economy, that is a case of legal plunder, in which success in business depends on close relationships between business people and government officials. Exactly what is happening with health insurance and Obamacare. They are guaranteed a profit now and with your tax dollars.
It has been a fact from the start that the big winners would be the Health Insurance companies that signed on to the Exchanges. Even more so once it was "announced" they would be bailed out by tax payers with they lost money providing insurance on the Exchanges. What a crock. I absolutely "hate" the liars that passed the ACA. And, as I have said all along, it was written in a way they knew it would fail to lower health care costs and our premiums because they never wanted it to be a success. They wanted it to fail so they could push Universal Health Care and destroy our system.
I am not sure it IS in the Legislation. It was never mentioned prior to passage or there would have been even more people protesting its passage. I suggest you goggle this. Here is one site that comes up, federal website: PDF]ObamaCare's Taxpayer Bailout of Health Insurers and the ... oversight.house.g... House Committee on Oversight and Government Ref... Jul 28, 2014 - Insurers Expect About a $1 Billion Taxpayer Bailout in 2014 . ... often vilified insurance companies and decried their large profits. ... ObamaCare's Risk Corridor program provides payments when insurers lose money on ..... mandate and the subsidies are beneficial to insurers participating in the exchanges:. There is plenty of more reading reported on by various sources. These "exchange" insurers are issuing policies with high deductibles, have less providers/hospitals listed on the policy and where the insured's have no major illness or need for expensive surgical treatment; they will not likely meet their deductibles meaning they will be paying monthly premiums and the majority if not all of their yearly medical costs. The only benefit from those premiums likely being discounted prescription drugs, "free? preventative tests", reduced out of pocket for physician visits. Period. It is only those individuals that didn't understand the implication of the PPACA and HHS's mandated coverage, etc.; who still believe in the ACA. OOPS and those with pre-existing, high cost illnesses that require on going treatment, frequent hospitalization, surgery, prescription drugs and home medical devices(they benefit from the rest of us paying higher costs for medical care, higher premiums and forced to carry and pay for benefits we will NEVER need that are some of the costs that significantly cost more to insure.
Well I am now thoroughly confused. In one posting you say the ACA guarantees the insurance companies a profit and that was your proof of Crony Capitalism and in the next posting you say you are not sure it is in the legislation, It is either one or the other. Maybe it would be easier if you just retract your Crony Capitalism statement.
