I was surprised to learn a couple of years ago that all of Appalachia, including much of Kentucky, has a huge problem with various "pill" addictions -- bought illegally, and legally because opioids are overprescribed so often. We can crack down hard on doctors and pharmacies who "push pills", but we need separate and different methods to deal with drug traffickers from Latin America.
