I hear this disingenuous talking point only from Lefties. They seem to feel that when the opposite party wins office they are suppose to cater to them too instead of sticking with the agenda that got them elected. Bush41 fell for that ruse. Half way through his term he gave the Left everything on their wish list. What good did it do? His support from Democrats didn't change much if at all but he lost a good portion of his base who put him in office. The Left would love to see the GOP cater to their wishes in order to watch them crash.

Dairyair.... i think something seems “off too”. But sometimes something seems “off” because it is off

Yes, my wife’s employer did an illegal act.... although it was probably accepting forged papers with a wink and a nod. But DA, think about it... there are a xxxx load of illegals who are working in this country. That is an indisputable fact. So “somehow” .... a xxxxload of illegal workers are in fact working. Facts is facts. So apparently there are well established customs and practices that facilitate this situation. I just see no way around this conclusion. The person that i referred to is just one of more than 10 million people...... in that perspective, she does not seem so very “odd”

This person did not have health benefits from her employers

My wife and this lady discussed that the was illegal, and had been deported at least once

I do not know how the mom got coverage. I suspect that there are well trodden paths that are shared between interested people. But.... this person told my wife that her mom had cancer, was flying in from mexico to get treatment, treatment paid by medicare or Medicaid (i forget which ).

DA... what i would think to be “odd”. Would be to think this lady made up lies about these things and told my wife these lies... or it might be odd if my wife lied to me about these things.... or it might odd if my wife got confused about discussions concerning these things

By the way. DA, lady i am talking about was my wife's supervisor.... before that, she had another superior who was also illegal. Both the people preferred to hire other illegals.... because then they became the patron... their illegal employees tend to salute and do what ever they were told, because it was too dangerous to complain to the government or the employer

DA, i think that you probably do not want to believe what i am saying is true...
    but it is
Personally, i do not have an anti immigrant agenda. They are hard workers, and generally nice people
But it is a fact that the system is being gamed. It is costing tax payers money. There are a whole lot of the illegals who are working at a level far beyond being just dishwashers or gardeners. Generally these workers compete with Americans.... working class Americans work for lower wages and have fewer job opportunities because of these people.

Of course that is good for those of us not in a working class job market. We hire them indirectly to wash our dishes, paint our houses, mow our lawns, build our buildings, cut our meat.... etc... and we kinda like the arrangement because every costs less than it otherwise would.

So what is the solution for Dems who want to bring all these unwashed masses here for a better life? Put them all on welfare? Or a life of crime to put food on the table?

The right wing of America used to say Obama only served his constituency, which was basely false.

On the other hand, Trump without question serves his people and tries to quash the rest of America.

it would not. A new amendment would be required.
they can not be denied entry for any reason. They are US citizens from the moment of their birth.

other than the perfectly crystal clear plain English that does just that.

    yes
legal interpretation does. this was settled in Plyler v Doe. Jurisdiction happens as soon as someone is present on US soil.
    no it wasn't.

no it can't. Only if the parents choose to take it with them. The baby can not be forced out of the country by the government, as it is a US citizen. If the parents abandon or refuse to take the baby with them, the government can do nothing.

it can't be. It's settled law and supreme court precedent. US v Wong Kim Ark, and Plyler v Doe.

no it isn't. the language of the 14th amendment is crystal clear and in plain English. ANYONE born on US soil is a US citizen. Only exception are people not subject to US jurisdiction, which would only be diplomats with immunity.

it is talking about ALL PERSONS, as it is clearly spelled out in the amendment.
there is no question as to jurisdiction for anyone on US soil.
irrelevant. the 14th amendment does not apply to African americans only. It applies to ALL PERSONS, as clearly spelled out in the wording of the amendment.

if you don't support that, why not fight to remove the statue of liberty inviting them here and fight to change the laws that allow them to come here?

why do you call them unwashed? think their skin is brown cause it's unwashed?

tRUMP is only willing to build a wall.
I don't have to house any. We have plenty of room. Vast open country we have.

You don't seem to comprehend what is written. I am looking for real reform. Not a mostly useless wall.
What propsals are out there for immigration reform? Who's negotiating to bring a bill to the floors?

I see no talk and no action. Your party is guilty of not negotiating as is the D party. Work on your own party before blaming every other person in the world.

Shooting innocent women and children seeking asylum is murder, not a national defense. No matter how much you want to kill them.

there is no ambiguity in the federal doctrine; only lousy comprehension from the right wing.

natural born in the US is a natural right.

One of your own admits, the wall we have stops only 70%, the rest get through over, under or smuggle through.
And a wall on the entire southern border is a temporary bandaid, until new routes are made. As AROUND is always an option as well as over, under, and smuggled through.

The illegal alien parents should be deported

If they want to leave the no longer useful anchor baby at the border as they leave that is their privilege

The liberal solution is: 1) wring our hands and do nothing; or 2) sign these illegals up to vote.

    I don't have a party.
But neither party seems willing to do anything. And haven't for over 40 yrs. I've said this countless times. Perhaps to even you.
