You apparently replied to the post below. What I can’t figure out is why you made the assumption that I thought the 1st Amendment applied to private sector. What in the post below could have ever led you to make the assumption you made?
The only difference is one is a protected group, the other isn't. Some states do add political identity to the list of protected classes. Political opinion is much like religion and should be treated as such.
Think about this. You watched a YouTube video of a right winger complaining about right wingers being censored from YouTube.
If Google is deplatforming journalism based on it being the wrong kind of journalism, and understanding that Google is a trust and immune to antitrust laws, it's clearly a violation of the First Amendment.
One of the reasons, historians tell us, that the Russian people so readily tolerated the communists, was because they were accustomed to the suppression from their monarchy, of which the Soviets weren't all that different. It is why the likes of Putin are tolerated. It is part of the Russian character. A characteristic that Trump is trying to bring to America.
Are you not familiar with the poem, First They Came... by Martin Niemöller? You should really familiarize yourself with it.
What was his kind of like saying he's like a Nazi. You people don't even know what you're talking about. You don't even know why the things you compare him to are bad. The Soviets were socialists like the Democrat Party. If anybody's trying to bring that here it's the Democrat Party.
I have long maintained that a great deal of conservative opinions are not legitimate, in that quite a few are based on untruths, and many are little more than attempts to denigrate others, a lot of it crude insults. But then what should one expect in the time of Trump, when every other thing that comes out of his mouth is either untruthful, an insult towards someone, or just plain ignorance. Should we expect anything different from his base?
I just went on to Google and googled all the worse right wingers. They all came up. I'm starting to see this story as just another nutty story that comes out of right wing media.
Regardless of what you want to call them, the Soviet Union operated as a dictatorship. A brutal dictatorship. Stalin was one of the worse dictators of all time. Putin is a dictator also, as is Chairman Kim and the king of Saudi Arabia. These are the people Trump identifies with. He even quotes and says nice things about Mussolini. Dictatorships are right wing. Democracies are left wing.
As do most socialist regimes. That's Democrats. No, they are the people Burnie Sanders Kamala Harris, and many other Democrats identify with. Democracies often are dictatorships. Constitutional republics place values on individual rights, Democracies trample them.
You are just making things up. What good does it do to have a conversation with you when you are just going to make things up. Whatever sounds good is good enough? And to think that conservatives complain about liberals and that thar college education thingy. Why bother learning anything when you can just make up whatever fits your narrative.
As it stands today, the First Amendment protects you from the government punishing or censoring or oppressing your speech. It doesn't apply to private organizations.
Same thing. Trump is preparing for 2020. When he loses he'll say it was rigged and call out the tanks
of course the liberal MSM will ignore the censorship they don't want to get on Goggles bad side and be censored themselves have Google stop putting their news sites on the first page on a search also as long as the censorship is directed to those on the right the liberal MSM benefits from that censorship
if you truly believed in freedom of speech and the principles behind it you would apply those principles outside of government but because you don't then you truly don't believe in freedom of speech Its like saying murder is wrong only because there are laws against murder
Yea, we heard that nonsense in 2016. It's like a broken record. Please, come up with something new for a change.....
Opinions that are in line with Eisenhower, Reagan, and both Bushes are not radical and should not be deleted by liberal editors at Facebook, etc. And it’s happening every day.
