Why aren't you lowering the boom on Russian collusion?? Wasn't that the original accusation? Oh yeah, it had to "evolve" to other things. Collusion has been unproven and even if it was.... not illegal. This is the insurance that was spoken about in FBI e-mails. Get him any way you can. This is the Alinsky Resistance!! But you are too obvious!

    OP

Prediction: Trump will prove his innocence, will be exonerated, and America will (at last) lose all global credibility once and for all. I honestly can't believe what's going on, I really can't. It's like America is committing suicide by stupidity.

Okay, here is the fun part. Johnson is retreating faster than the speed of sound. So are Republicans, like Gowdy, who made himself look stupid.

First, Johnson said, among other things, "What this is all about is further evidence of corruption, more than bias. Corruption of the highest levels of the FBI. The secret society -- we have an informant talking about a group that was holding secret meetings off-site."

On Wednesday morning on -- wait for it -- Fox -- Johnson seemed to back off that claim somewhat. "The term 'secret society' comes from Strzok and Page," he said. "All I said when I read that, it didn't surprise me, because, you know, we are the committee that whistle-blowers come to to talk about all kinds of problems throughout the federal government."

Pressed by the Fox anchor on his claim about off-site meetings of this "secret society," Johnson said this: "I, you know, I have heard, you know, from somebody who has talked to our committee, that there -- there is a group of individuals in the FBI that was holding secret, off-site meetings. And you know, again, that Strzok and Page calling it a certain term, I'm just saying, off-site meetings."

Where did the term, "secret society," come from? Strzok's girlfriend said it in a text. "Are you even going to give out your calendars? Seems kind of depressing. Maybe it should just be the first meeting of the secret society."

Strzog never replied to the message. That's it. According to the DOJ, that is all Johnson and the Republicans have on this so-called "secret society."

The missing text messages between Strzok and his girlfriend? Since Strzok was relieved from Mueller's investigation team in July, and Page was let go long before that, it is extremely doubtful the text messages are a matter of national security. That is quite laughable, actually. What does it matter what Strzok said to his girlfriend and vice versa?

I told you this was funny.

Who is sweating? Actually, everyone is quite amused by the latest in a long line of Republican follies.

This is probably the stupidest of the lot. No doubt Trump has something to do with it. Ordinarily, Republican lawmakers are not in the habit of making fools of themselves.

What are you talking about? I am the author of three lengthy threads concerning collaboration between Trump and the Russian government. This is one of them.

    The other two are:

    http://politicalforum.com/index.php...with-the-russians-during-the-election.498772/

    http://politicalforum.com/index.php...llaborate-with-the-russian-government.524348/

All three contain a considerable amount of evidence of cooperation between Trump, members of his family, current and past members of his organization and the Russian government.

Hilarous even. These guys are like walking cartoon characters. Johnson, Gowdy and the slew of them will need about a month to wipe the caked-in egg on their faces/

Could you imagine the MSM getting wind of an e-mail from Donald Jr. 's wife speaking of handling business through a "secret society"???? Maxine Water would be doing cartwheels, roundoffs, and half gainers, down the aisles of the next black caucus meeting! The left would not be able to contain themselves! We're going to see how this all pans out.

Trump consistently wants it both ways. While thinking he is pleasing everyone, he doesn't realize he is making a fool of himself. He proved it again yesterday.

When reporters asked if he would talk to special counsel Robert Mueller, he said, "I am looking forward to it, actually. Here is the story: There has been no collusion whatsoever. There is no obstruction whatsoever. And I am looking forward to it."

"I would do it under oath. I would do it," he said, later adding, "I would do it under oath, yeah."

Yay, let's get if done. Mueller wants to talk to the President. The President wants to talk to Mueller. Wow, let's do it.

Hold on, wait for it, here comes the caveat. Remember I said he wants it both ways.

He then said his interview would be "subject to my lawyers."

That effectively cancels out his earlier statements about being eager to talk to Mueller.

Does he think Americans are stupid? It is easy to see right through his double talk. He wants to appear to be innocent and wanting to talk to Mueller, but, oh, that is subject to his lawyers' decision.

His lawyer Ty Cobb said, "While Mr. Trump was speaking hurriedly before departing for Davos, he remains committed to continued complete cooperation with the OSC and is looking forward to speaking with Mr. Mueller."

And, oh, by the way, Cobb added that the arrangements are still being worked out between Mueller's team and the President's personal lawyers.

That is code for nothing has been settled yet, and Trump has a big mouth.

The oath business is a non sequitur. When people are questioned by the FBI, they are not given an oath. That is for trials or testimony before a grand jury or a Congressional committee. Trump threw out that nonsense as another dig at Clinton.

"She didn't do it under oath, but I would do it under oath and you know she didn't do it under oath," he said. "Oh, I would do it under oath."

Trump is obsessed with Hillary Clinton. It is almost like paranoia.

I said, "Explain politicization and abuse of the FBI. Trumpians are all talk and no substance. What are you talking about exactly? Do you know?"

    You said:

Now this Trumpian wants me to do the research for him.

The truth is, Republican attempts to prove the politicizing of the FBI is blowing up in their faces.

There are a great number of Republicans who are critical of Trump, including Republican lawmakers. They are quite bothered by what Trump is doing to their party and they are very concerned about his effect on the November elections.

That happens when the so-called leader of your party is the most unpopular President in American history.

Sandy....I find your post quite comforting. For years I was hoping someone would create a division with in the Party that would begin to sluff off the establishment types. You know....Lindsay Graham, Juan McCain, Jeff Snowflake. They are no different than their Democrat counterparts like "swiftboat Kerry, Pocohauntas, HRC and more.

That's what I expected. You must get your crap from right wing fake news. If you had gotten it from MSM, you would know that the organization switched from the iPhone to Samsung and in the transfer the texts went missing...... -for a while. They have now been recovered.

In light of the mountain of evidence against Trump, you say nothing. You provide no defense of Trump. All you have is wishful thinking.

Other Trump supporters have the very same problem. They don't challenge any of the statements made by Trump critics. They simply ignore the statements and attack the messenger.

All this begs a question. They can't defend him. They don't question the evidence against him. Why do they support Trump?
