This is a classic ploy; Mueller has had this information for a long time, in fact the FBI reported all of this to Obama and it was in the news Obama told Putin to "cut it out". There are details and names in Mueller's new indictment, but we really don't know if these are new or just weren't disclosed before.

Mueller's latest indictment does appear to be aimed at provoking Trump's response when he meets with Putin. The timing of this indictment is suspect. Revealing this now instead of last year, just a couple of days ahead of Trump's summit with Putin compels Trump to address this when he sees Putin and mainstream media will certainly interpret anything Trump says as evidence of collusion.

I disapprove of the intelligence community meddling in an ostensibly democratic system of government.

Mueller could have fabricated all of the names, places, events, and evidence, presented it to a grand jury, and got indictments on fictitious people.

I’m not saying he did, but if we can’t get the cases to trial, we will never know.
