make a 5 play rule to sit out after game stoppage to injury. 1 play isn't tough as most teams have more than 1 player per position that rotate in for each position.

aTm was a 5 loss team last year.... hardly good. Beating SC is not a litmus test of quality in the SEC. Again, time will tell as the season goes on if aTm is quality or just got lucky, or if SC isn't as good as people in the SEC like to say they are.

BTW - UF, still winless since October 13

I had a timehop on facebook from a year ago today (it was labor day last year when Jameis made his debut against Pitt) I predicted "in t-minus xx hours, The Jameis Winston show begins and even gaytor fans will say 'Tebow-who'..... "

and that's exactly what happened last year. I had Heisman/national title predictions, and of course, all my gaytor friends on FB, fresh off a season opening victory, and an 11-2 season the year before.... were all hating, denying, claiming Pitt wasn't a real test..... anything to hide their nervousness that I was right.

15 wins and 0 losses later, people are still trying to find a ***** in the armor of Winston.

"OSU is garbage" is the loudest cry I hear. Time will tell, meanwhile, we're still the team to beat

Free Seafood University is still #1 in my Top 10, but I'll be surprised if they repeat. Lots of football to play yet.

I don't really wish bad things to anyone but Muskrat is not head-coach material. I hope UF loses the next 3 games so we can be done with the Muskrat era. I'm sure he's OK financially and would find a role somewhere as a defensive coach earning 6 figures.

People make those bold predictions about not repeating like repeating is done all the time. only a handful of teams have repeated so simple odds say that's the safe "prediction"

it's like saying Jameis won't repeat as Heisman. well, again, that's like saying "Jacob Coker at Bama isn't going to win the heisman" and then saying "yeah, I predicted that" when it comes true.

Last year, I predicted big things for Jameis and FSU. I was dismissed as a mark of a fan. I was proven correct though.

This year, I'm not predicting Heisman or title. The playoffs change EVERYTHING. but if Jameis is in the playoffs in December when the Heisman presentation comes around.... it's hard to argue that he shouldn't get it. Maziel lost 5 times last year is why he didn't repeat.

My only prediction is "FSU makes the playoffs" from there, I give FSU as good a chance as any other team in the playoffs, but anything can happen when one play determines winners and losers.

    my playoff teams....

    FSU
    AU
Oklahoma (or Oklahoma State, depending on who wins the big xii)
    Oregon

I tell all my gaytor friends.... yall better keep him or he will be jimbo Fisher's defensive coordinator next season....

UF will win this weekend agains central Mich or whoever they play. But Bama, Kentucky, LSU, and UT should beat them and not that they don't have that first win against Idaho yet.... the will be 1-4 and muschamp will be gone.

We'll get a good look at Oregon next week. I don't expect Auburn to lose until October. FSU won't be challenged until the last 2 weeks of October. The Big 12 will need an undefeated team to make the playoffs.

well, if OU wins it, chances are they will be undefeated.

OSU needs help at this point, even if they win the big xII

As far as FSU's schedule..... The teams that worry me are Louisville, Notre Dame and Clemson. Louisville has a good coach back that has proven he can take teams from nothing to contenders.... and Louisville is one of those teams. Even if we get by them this year.... Louisville will be a perenial acc contender as long as they have Petino there. And Petino will stay as long as he doesn't get in any motorcycle wrecks with 22 y.o. interns.... lol

Notre Dame.... I'm not sure they are ready for FSU speed. They are used to Big Ten speed.... and that's not the same. I hope they remain undefeated until they come to Tally.... it'll make for a gameday, an impressive win against a (by then) top 10 ND (hopefully).

Clemson is always a wildcard for us. Like I said.... A game, or F game. We luckily crushed their spirit early last season in Clemson with the scoop and score off the fumble and turned it into a steamroll. Problem is, if we don't crush their spirit... they will give a fight the entire time....

I'd worry most about Louisville. Clemson is down this year and Notre Dame is down this century. Unless Florida fails to recover from their dismal showing last year, then they should be the strongest team that FSU will face this season.

    I am worried about Louisville...

ND has been down since 94, but their name alone gets them preseason rankings. I remmeber years in the early 2000s, 3 loss ND's were in the talk for a BCS bowl? WHY? because they're ND, that's why.

Even their national championship appearance.... they showed they were completely not at that elite level
