Well, kind of belatedly he seems at least publicly in the media, with gritted teeth, to acknowledge AGW, even if it seems like someone is off-camera with a gun to his head. The major problem is that big-business climate change denialist lobby groups headed by right-wing idealogues like Lord Lawson, still call the shots as far as government policy is concerned. What is largely under-reported is the fact that land-management policies in the UK are actually contributing, rather than reducing, the impacts of climate change, particularly in terms of flooding and coastal erosion.

 

Oh please let's stop pretending there is any logic involved in that statement, there certianly isn't any science knowledge being applied.... what you're claiming is impossible, that in fact it must be magical...
Ist rule of science-for every action there is a reaction...in this situation you cannot change the make up of the atmosphere with without having an effect! IT'S IMPOSSIBLE! to claim otherwise negates any arguement you come up with because you don't have the basic scientific knowledge to take part in the debate...

CO2 is a ghg, that is not debatable
Accumulating more ghgs in the atmosphere must affect the climate, the only debate to be made is how much of an effect and how soon...

 

Evidently you are not up on things here. The increase in CO2 started around the 50's according to the IPCC.

I disagree.

Looking outside the window is a great place to start in order to determine if there is a problem to be addressed. Then one looks for the cause.

If one concludes that there is warming, one can attribute it to any item that has been increasing in number over the years. To my mind it's just as logical to tie global warming to the number of college students worldwide as to CO[SUP][SUB]2[/SUB][/SUP] concentrations.

You are confusing uncertainties relating to tempo and mode with the the accepted scientific consensus. The former does not negate the legitimacy of the latter. AGW is a scientific fact.

Post the references he is quoting - and I am betting when you do you will find a huge discrepancy between what he is claiming is data and what is actually true

Assuming that you believe that Humans are the cause of global warming-- How do you feel about a mandated mass sterilization program to prevent human numbers from increasing thereby slowing this global warming?
