The really funny thing is that the OP is outraged that this guy lied. President Small Hands, AKA Dirty Donny, lies or says misleading things 18 times each day (on average) and his supporters not only don't care, they lap it up like it was gospel.

Top notch assessment. The problem is that the media have gone almost full bore over to the non-news to pure propaganda on two subjects: their progressive agenda, and hate Trump. There are probably a dozen or two of similar stories put out every day. It is impossible for anyone to analyze and rebut even a few of them, so they hang out there in the public's face to fester.

Where did I say that I admitted anyone lied? A lie is an intentional mis-statement of the facts. Saying something untrue that you KNOW is untrue.

I don't think that happened here, or generally happens with the big news outlets. They ran with the information they had. When the got more information, they added that.

It is in the nature of news reporting to run with what you've got. If the story changes when you've learned more, report that as well.

It remains funny (in a sad way) that some people get worked up about errors by MSM, but don't give a **** about the 18 lies/misstatements that the president puts out EACH DAY.

 

I don't expect that you actually read the part where the CNN narrative still hasn't changed. Just like the WAPO story of the same name. There just isn't about being "more informed". I agree. What I mean is that it is not unreasonable to make the claim of Vietnam Veteran as most don't know the distinction of being in country or out. If voluntary like I was, you don't have much choice where you are sent.
