Do you mean how to we target gun violence? Is that what you are asking?...... I think my position on this is pretty clear, and it has to do with our justice system.
No no no. You made a big point of making it clear what the race is of those that commit gun crimes. Ok...why is it important SPECIFICALLY to keep pointing that out over and over again?
Then there is no point in bringing up the discussion whether or not someone has the potential to commit harm at some undefined point down the line, simply because they are able to purchase a firearm at present time.
Does this change the confirmed fact that they are enforcing absolutely zero federal laws relating to firearms? Absolutely zero prosecutions for anyone caught violating federal firearm statutes, despite these laws being both strict and national.
Acknowledge the fact that the majority of all firearm-related incidents are not in any way the fault of those that can legally possess firearms, but rather the fault of those that cannot legally possess firearms. The ones that are already disregarding all state and federal laws, and not being prosecuted despite there being sufficient evidence to do such.
Because these minority individuals knowingly and willingly congregate into specific, isolated areas. And these specific, isolated areas, are the ones where the most violence can be found. It is more or less a road map to exactly which locations in the united states are the hotbeds for murder and various other offenses, and shows that the problem is not widespread, but is rather isolated. There are approximately twelve thousand firearm-related murders in the united states per year. The city of Chicago has experienced approximately seven hundred and sixty firearm-related murders since the state of the year. This means that the city of Chicago, one single city out of approximately twenty thousand in the united states, is directly and even personally responsible for approximately fifteen percent of all firearm-related homicides in the entire nation.
Lets make drugs and alcohol illegal. Problem solved! Genius. I wonder why we didn't think of that before.
What they are doing is refusing to enforce the existing firearm-related restrictions that already exist on the federal and state level. This is most likely due to the fact that they do not wish to appear as being racist, when a majority of those who are committing the offenses are minority members.
Supposedly seventeenth on the list, yet they are directly responsible for approximately fifteen percent of all the firearm-related homicides in the united states. How exactly is the other eighty five percent broken down?
Pray tell how are they seventeenth on your list, when they are refusing to enforce the firearm-related restrictions, both state and federal, against those that are committing the offenses? What they are doing is absolutely nothing. So if something is supposedly working, then doing nothing truly does work.
So you deny they are 17th on the homicides list per capita just because you can't understand how they got there? https://www.thetrace.org/2016/10/chicago-gun-violence-per-capita-rate/
Are you ignoring the fact that the city of Chicago is doing absolutely nothing? Are you denying the fact that they rank dead last in terms of enforcing existing firearm-related restrictions, and allowing the offenders to go free without punishment for those violations?
Uh populations at risk? Here'a hint. It's not the GOP, the NRA, the Tea Party of Whites in general. LOL
