Nature accomplished what Science couldn't accomplish

While I would be the first to admit there are professionals who call themselves "scientists", who consistently kowtow to the accepted dogmas of current politicians as a way to assure continued financial support for their own research, those scientists are as poor of representatives of science as the crooked politicians are representative of government. True science has no dogmas. True science lives in a constant search for truth, wherever that search leads, & whatever it reveals. Instead of complaining about "liberals" being the bad guy because they support government research, consider the many technological devices you & I use in our daily lives today that were never available to any of our predecessors, & how much more interesting they make our personal lives. We have many of those because those "liberals" were foresighted enough to support the research that made them possible.

What would the cause have been if instead of flood, it was drought they were suffering?

No. I'm saying that they're caused by water. But it's obvious from your question that you don't understand the relation between climate events and Global Warming. I appreciate your response but I'm afraid I don't have the time, the patience or the drive to explain something this basic.
