The temps were so cold up here and so much snow, as soon as there was an above freezing day I took to my bike and rode the river paths. Decided that besides feeding the birds in my backyard, I would start trying to feed bird out of my hand on my bike rides. Great success down at the fish hatchery, chickadees and woodpeckers so far. Nuthatches are getting use to me but are still to unsure of me to land on my hand. Yesterday I spotted a golden eagle flying along the river. The pic is as close as I could get. The snow was too deep and I was not wearing winter boots. Some pics and videos of my hand feeding and one pic of that beautiful eagle. http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac192/JohnCm_bucket/P1040023_zpsr6is5xvm.jpg My bike enjoying the snow. http://vid899.photobucket.com/albums/ac192/JohnCm_bucket/P1030971_zpstz2qtjig.mp4 http://vid899.photobucket.com/albums/ac192/JohnCm_bucket/P1030970_zps8lukrlaz.mp4
