What I posted before the playoffs started. NBA Playoffs start! - & happy that bombing suspect caught & still keeping West, Texas in thoughts & prayers. I'm not sure of a whole bunch except that I would be surprised if Miami gets beat by anybody. Heat over Bucks - An all time upset if otherwise. Knicks over Celtics - Not an easy series at all, but for the Knicks & especially Carmello Anthony, this series means everything. If they lose to the C's, they may never recover. Pacers over Hawks - But I wouldn't be shocked if Atlanta pulls the upset. Nets over Bulls - I switched my pick on this, 'cause I think Chicago may be running on fumes & the Nets are playing pretty well. Thunder over Harden, oops, I mean Houston - I think overall OKC has too much for the Rockets, but I have this feeling that Houston has been playing possum the last week or so & are ready to throw everything & the kitchen sink at the Thunder. But just not convinced it's enough. Spurs over Lakers - As a Laker fan, I'm just hoping that they play competitively. If somehow they get to game 7, I'll consider anything after that playing with house money. But I will be screaming at the TV. Nuggets over Warriors - I worry a little about Denver's ability to be able to play "fast" in the playoffs, but not in this series. Grizzlies over Clippers - I picked the Grizz to go to the Finals at the beginning of the year, but even as I type this I'm not even sure they'll win this series. I'm fairly certain that either of these team can beat or lose to anybody in the West. Heat over Nets - The Nets may actually win a game or 2, though. Knicks over Pacers - The monkey would be off the Knicks/Carmello's back. Grizzlies over Thunder - OK, some wishful thinking going on here, but if it is to happen - OKC going down in the West - this is where I envisioned it, the 2nd round. Nuggets over Spurs - So much depends on the health of both these teams - and how quickly S.A. disposes of the Lakers. Some wishful thinking here also, but I really do believe Denver can give the Spurs fits & are capable of more than just hanging with 'em. Heat over Knicks - reality time for NY. Grizzlies over Nuggets - BludgeonBall time, although Memphis has to find a way to win a game, or 2, in Denver, which hasn't been easy for anybody. Heat over Grizzlies...or anybody else who's there. Although, if it happens to be the Thunder, I'll give them a shot, figuring they learned something from the year before.
One of the best NBA Playoff game's i've seen in year's,the Chicago Bulls and the Brooklyn Nets. That was a great performances by Nate Robinson.I have never seen a player come off the bench and have a game like he had today. It goes right up there Reggie Miller,Michael Jordan, and they were starters.
Good. I can't stand the Clippers and I enjoy seeing small market teams do well for some reason. I've been watching a lot of playoff action this year and really enjoying it. If I had to pick the Finals match up right now, my money would be on Heat/Spurs.
NBA Committee rejects, city change by Sacramento Kings, to move the team to Seattle. Needless to say that made Sacramento's, Mayor Kevin Johnston, a happy man,he tweeted," That's what i'm talking about ",SCARAMENTO!!!!! WE DID IT!!!!!
Time for the Nets to man up tonight vs. the Bulls. A Nets win would make me 7 out of 8 in the 1st round, although I did have Denver going to the conference finals. The Nuggets are proof that the NBA is a star driven league.
I don't see anyone taking down the Heat either, but as with the Thunder, injuries could change everything...
