Who doesn’t have bread? That’s available at Walmart as well. Sorry you were wrong about hunting in the UK.

The fact remains, there are MANY folks in the UK who want guns that aren’t thugs. Unless UK cops are thugs. LOL

LOL. People shooting waterfowl are apprehended by the firearms division. The division with no diplomatic skills!

Ok I was exaggerating to make a point. UK is not a hunting nation, too small. Only the super rich hunt here.

It would be great to not have to work and hunt instead for all your food but life has become too demanding and we all have mortgages now or rent. Hunting is just not practical unless you live in the wilderness.

There may be more hunting in the U.K. than you are aware of. Because of the population density, suppressed shotguns are legal in the UK. No "bang!", quieter than a handclap.

I live in the country. Any wilderness is a good 800 miles away unless you go north into Canada. Hunting may not be practical but it is economical. You can get about 40lbs of venison easy from the average whitetail. The bullet costs a buck or two at most. More than that- You Cannot Buy Whitetail venison at the store.

There is an amount of honor in harvesting your own meat. It's much more honest doing the killing yourself rather than paying someone else to do your killing for you.

They're doing that actually. Surprise, desire to change the law is high.

No the illegals are shipping themselves and the French and Brit navies are helping them get across the channel. They call them 'the boat people'.

Absolutely. It may get ppl to really think about how much meat they consume when they have to actually kill the animal themself. Hunter gathering has been given a bad rep, probably crafted by the big corporations.

Feral hogs all year round and I have clients with land who want them gone so they allow friendly hunters.
Eating bacon all the time can get somewhat boring, but I definitely know where my food comes from and how it was taken.

Sure, and that is presumably legal where you are and fine if that's what the people there want, though I think it's sad you feel that is necessary.

I don't have zero protection exactly. I have successfully defending myself from an assault (and attempted robbery) but, not least because of UK gun laws, my attacker was only wielding a screwdriver so I was able to defend myself with my hands (and, to be fair, the benefit of being sober unlike my attacker).

The fact remains that the situation with guns in the UK is generally a settled matter that few have any particular interest in changing (either way). If there ever was a widespread desire to change those laws somehow, that could be achieved via the democratic process.

Hunting for your food would be far more “work” than paying me to grow it for you. That’s why people pay me and others to do the killing necessary to provide food and many other consumer products for society.

But hunters are less thuggish than those that hire their killing done in my humble opinion.

It's necessary in your country. I hope your belief that it isn't doesn't come back and bite you in the butt. No place is 100% safe.

You'll never get your guns back via the ballot box. If y'all want them back, you'll have to take them back by force.

We have a different definition of hunters in the UK. Idk about USA but a hunter in the UK would typically be a fox hunter, for example. Those ppl are despised here in the UK almost universally.

Sounds like heaven. In UK we've killed off alot of wildlife or domesticated. No wild hogs here :(

They'll be in your neighborhood before long. Attacking your children and you want be able to defend them. That's too bad.
