The black community should expect very little if they don't help put Romney the White House. Obama hasn't done anything for them, so why should anyone who doesn't get their votes do anything for them? Its just the way it is...

I don't think expectations in the Black community are high given a Romney victory in November one way or another. For that matter, working class expectations ain't brimming over either.

 

The working class has seen what almost four years of Obama will bring, so I doubt they are really excited about him...

No, the working class realizes, unlike partisan hacks, that Obama was strapped with the ecomomy foisted by eight years of Republican administration. Then three years of a Republican congressional delegation doing absolutely nothing so they could score some cheap points with those same partisan hacks.

Try as you might to play a shell game, folks are smarter than those giving partisan hacks their marching orders.

The problem is that with Romney it isn't about "doing something for African-Americans" but instead its about "doing something to African-Americans" like raising the tax burden on low income workers while decreasing the tax burden on the wealthy under Romney's tax proposal.

Let's not forget the Republican "picture ID voter" laws they support because minorities are less likely to have valid picture ID and more likely to vote Democrat than whites. They claim its to reduce voter fraud although they can produce any evidence of voter fraud. Romney and the Republican Party would do whatever it takes to stop African-Americans and Hispanics from voting in November.

Well, it looks like the Dems are practicing racism by requiring photo ID to get into the convention. How can they shut out blacks like that and expect them to vote for them?

 

It tells me you have bad information. this race thing works both way. Just for giggles and grins tell me one business or school the NAACP has started. How many jobs do they create. Shelia Jackson Lee brags on TV about what she will do for the 4th ward in Houston, one of most economically destressed but talk is all she does, she never delivers. What do race have to do with anything. We need qualified people in office the color is imaterial.

 

And that is mild compared to how badly the black community has suffered under the terrible economic and immigration policies of Obama.

 

What's the problem? This is politics, those that help to put someone in office expect to be rewarded. If certain groups vote decidedly in one direction and their side loses, they shouldn't expect anything.

Is this any different than Obama wanting to tax the rich, who for the most part vote Republican? It's not different, its all the same game.

If the black community wants to become more politically relevant, particularly in presidential elections they need to split their votes, make the community as a whole contentious, in which both sides must offer up something to secure their votes. As it is, Republicans can discount them and Democrats can take them for granted and do nothing in their favor, which is all that's been happening for decades now...

 

This is absurd. Blacks get their bank accounts, EBT cards, lottery tickets, section eight housing, medicare/medicaid, welfare payments, and social security disability payments just fine, but they cannot bring themselves to get picture ID?
