Nero and Obama have a lot in common. Nero fiddled while Rome burned, and Obama golfs while the middle east goes up in flames.

IMO Obama belongs in the whitehouse during the crisis in Iraq. He is reaping the results of his blunder in totally pulling out of Iraq and leaving a vacuum for the muslim terrorist to take over. He wanted the office, but now he doesnt want to perform. He seem incapable of making decisions. Look at the pipeline deal, it has been dragging on for years. Maybe that is why a recient poll shows that 65% of the people now believe he cant be trusted to make proper decisions.

No he didn't - It helps if you are going to make historical comparisons, to actually know the history you are comparing.

Interesting thought except for the fact that the President is Never really away form his office, anyone that knows how the position operates would know this, I believe the OP does but cannot help but whine about the President on anything and everything.
Speaking of Rome burning, maybe the Cons could stop playing political power games and whining long enough to help put out the fire, or would that be too much to ask.

I'd suggest your evaluation is pretty spot on

Well we know from 9/11 That airforce one now has cutting edge communication capable of handling any crisis while in mid air. And that was 12 years ago

Political bash fest?? Are you embarrassed about the factual actions of Obama. It is a fact that he is playing golf while the middle east is decending into anarchy!!!!

Stop the politica bash fest???? I saw no stopping of a political bash fest while Bush was president. Democrats and the MSM had a continual bash fest going on against Bush almost every day!!! Sorry but it is now our turn to point out the stupidity and ignorance of the Obama admin. Live with it!!!!!

    wizard

I have never seen a picture of Airforce One following Obama around on the golfcourse.

Presidents have a travelling office with them at all times, they are always in touch with the heads of the Military, Intel Community, Cabinet and Congress and can do what needs to be done, even from the golf course or their own ranch. It is some here would rather ignore those facts so they can whine some more, some people play golf and some people whine, everyone should have a hobby and it should be something you are good at or it will not be fun.:)

You are delusional.. NO US president can control the ME or the civil wars there. Ranting and raving and blaming the president is born of ignorance about Iraq and the whole region.

The question should be.. how much more money to we want to spend and how many more American soldiers are expendable in a new round of failure???

There is a lot of hyperbolic language in your first post.

And you haven't proved anything you've said is factual. All you've done is made a claim and started in with the bashing.

Before I make up my mind, I'd like to see some evidence of your claim. A video or a news article will do.

And don't mistake me for an Obama supporter. I am not. I'm just tired of the childish behavior on both sides of the political spectrum. It is ALL childish and immature.

You say that you should be able to point out his ignorance then show yours by believing the President (any President) is ever really away from their office, thanks for the insight.

Does not matter and you know it, if he does nothing he is weak, if he sends them more arms he is supplying the weapons to those that hate us, and if he invades he is a warmonger, it does not matter what he does, they will whine, after a while people tune out those that whine all the time about everything.

Nero did nothing while his nation fell. Obama is not involving us in foreign civil wars. Horrible comparison.

What a hoot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I point out a very logical comparison of Nero and Obama, all of his ass kisser leap to his defense. Apparently the comparison is all too true and totally embarrassing. Face it libs your dear leader is a fool, and totally ingnorant of world affairs. But then what can we expect of a community organizer that was elected mainly on the color of his skin and appointed stupid political apparatchicks as his advisors.

IMO the whole whitehouse gang including Obama are the most ignorant and stupid collection of fools that have ever occupied the whitehouse EVER.

Its a poor comparison based on ignorance of both the history of ancient Rome and Iraq.

I remember when he was pressured by the right to draw a line in the sand. When he did, the same group criticized him for it.

They just hate Obama and blame everything on him. These people are easy to spot because they cannot possibly bring themselves to say anything good about Obama.

Now, the group that had pressured Obama into pulling out of Iraq -- largely due to the expense -- is the same group criticizing him for doing so.

I can't think of anything good Obama did myself.

But if he does do something good I'll be the first to credit him.

Other than that I don't like him at all, not one bit, and wish we would've had somebody else.

The Obama administration is destroying this country from the inside out. I can understand a scandal or two in any administration but his legacy will be full of them. Fast n Furious to the lax in border security to the IRS and Benghazi. It's like they use one to divert our attention to another. It's embarrassing and we (US Citizens) are already paying a heavy price. I don't think the administration is sleeping, I think they know exactly what is going on. Between the administration and the senate they are going to push the limit of their USA destroying agenda before the mid term elections. All will suffer. Not quite like Nero but could cause major negative implications in the future of this great country.

How did you like Bush's earlier Fast and Furious, his border security etc?

Not impressed. The Bush admin made their mistakes as well. We have to live in the now and if fixing past problems is what we have to do, let's get it done; and done right. No patch work that needs to be fixed in a short time.

I want the impossible. Effective tripartisan leadership period! Can't forget Tea Party folk. IMHO all parties have lost the true focus of what we as Americans expect and deserve from "our" government. I know I'm a dreamer. They are all too busy back stabbing each other in order to get the upper hand. I'm tired of it. Nothing is getting accomplished. In a sense they are sleepwalking or just walking around with their blinders on. Trying to keep the Nero reference going in the thread.

Bush has not been president for around 7 years now. Obama's stamp is on everything now. Most of his scandals is his chickens comming home to roost because of his ignorant actions, and quite often his non action.

Do you think the problems in Iraq changed suddenly when Obama took office?

Get real.. Do you know anything at all about Iraq or that part of the world?

What exactly is your endgame in Iraq? Have boots on the ground perpetually? The West is in the middle of a long-standing sectarian conflict. Just look at Iraq as it stands, the Iraqi military doesn't give a crap about the north of Iraq because Northern Iraq is Sunni, while they are Shi'ite. Ergo, 30000 well armed men will run away from 800 insurgents - they don't care if a Sunni city falls to Sunni soldiers.

As a consequence, it's hard to see how you'd end terror in Iraq without suppressing it directly with a perpetual war.

Do you understand that Bush handed over Iraq to Obama that was on its way to the brand of democracy that can be expected in the middle east? The fool Obama pulled us totally out creating a power vacuum, and practically put up a sign inviting muslim terrorist back in.

Now that Obama can see that he screwed up royally, what is your dear leader going to do? Will he do nothing and let the muslim terrorist completely take over Syria and Iraq so it can be a friendly base for the terrorist to spread their terror over the rest of the world?
