The biggest indicator that the leftists with power realize the power of TV shows/movies on the zeitgeist is the inception of their censoring past shows... as time goes on more and more of classic shows will only be able to viewed uncensored via hard copies. The left is engaged in the business of erasing our cultural heritage while simultaneously creating a toxic banal and boring culture to replace it. The left was once known for creativity and yet we have never seen less creativity from the left than we do now. There is a reason that Korean media is increasingly overshadowing American media, there is reason that Japanese comics outsell America comics by orders of magnitude. As often happens we have multiple issues converging on a thread that would have little substance otherwise.

While Sesame Street has meaning to most Americans the 52 years of the show means nothing to 3-year-olds.

Since it is on HBO, any developments now are beyond the reach of government.

The idea that kids would never learn the alphabet without puppets and cartoons to guide them was the beginning of the end for American education.

If free tv networks had done their job giving us worthwhile educational lessons PBS would have never been necessary.

The survival of Sesame Street without government funding proves that solid children's educational programming never needed our help.

I think they had a human of Asian ancestry on the show for a long time.

Some humans on the show married and reproduced over the years, all within their respective races. Was that because someone was racist?

Children got worse because of Sesame Street. They learned to love cookies, eat sloppily, believe in monsters, etc. Worst of all, even when he was retiring, Oscar never repented of his grouchiness.
