There is more bad news for the Obama administration. When it comes to economics, it seems like Obama and his advisors can't do anytihng right! A new estimate by the Treasury Department means the government doesn't believe it will make a profit on any of its tax-payer funded bailouts! "A new estimate by the Treasury Department also hikes the overall cost of the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program costs to taxpayers. TARP is the emergency program approved by Congress in late 2008 at the height of the financial crisis. In total, the government used $425 billion to bailout banks, insurance companies and automakers, and provided $45 billion in housing program assistance. The government now expects to lose $57.33 billion, including the full cost of the housing program, up from $36.7 billion. The new estimate means the government doesn't believe it will make an overall profit on its bailouts."
The only people I've ever heard use the word "messiah" in connection with Obama are conservatives who vote Republican. I have never once heard any Obama supporter indicate that they view Obama as a "messiah", or in any way revere him in such a dramatic fashion.
Ha-Ha! You need to check out The Times of London. Barack Obama: The Child - The Messiah - The Obamessiah [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0drwfnGlF_E"]Barack Obama: The Child - The Messiah - The Obamessiah - YouTube[/ame]
Government motors and the Obama administration have lied and said it was paid back in full. Obama deceives and lies about everything. It is time for America to wake up and get rid of him http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/02/business/02gret.html
Goldwater, have you seen this latest report about the lies Obama has told us about the success of the much publicized GM auto bailout? How can you and the other progressives in this forum continue to support a person like Obama who has no ethics and lies to the American people at every opportunity he gets!
I'm not a progressive. Nor am I an Obama "supporter. I haven't made up my mind who I'll vote for. But I do know I won't vote for Perry, Cain, or Bachmann
Check out Ron Paul. He's the only guy who's actually different from any of the Republicans. And he has a really good shot of winning...and I suspect his chances of winning will keep going up as his Republican opponents keep shooting themselves in the foot with their blatant hypocrisies.
Dear James, Thank you for expressing your opinion about another post. It adds a lot to the discussion.
You are welcome, Iriemon. My actions and comments of encouragement have a lot to do with "friendship bonding". A concept you and the other progressives in this group would not know about.
Dear James, Thank you for sharing your "friendship bonding" efforts with us. It adds a lot to the topic being discussed.
