Next on the agenda is to propose ending term limits on Presidents and then name Obama, King Dictator for life...Transformation Complete SNIP: Opinions End presidential term limits By Jonathan Zimmerman, Published: November 28 Jonathan Zimmerman is a professor of history and education at New York University. His books include “Small Wonder: The Little Red Schoolhouse in History and Memory.” In 1947, Sen. Harley Kilgore (D-W.Va.) condemned a proposed constitutional amendment that would restrict presidents to two terms. “The executive’s effectiveness will be seriously impaired,” Kilgore argued on the Senate floor, “ as no one will obey and respect him if he knows that the executive cannot run again.” ALL of it here http://www.washingtonpost.com/opini...876456-561e-11e3-ba82-16ed03681809_story.html
I think he just told you. Federal universal background checks for gun purchasers and gun registration. Immigration reform. To which I will add, Cap and trade legislation. Fully implementing the Dodd Frank Bill and getting the rats nest of banker lobbyists and lawyers from sinking it regulation by regulation.
So Obama has solved the unemployment and economic grow problem therefore time to move to the next item on the agenda? Healthcare is all up and running and people are loving it?
Math is not a conservatives subject. They don't believe in it when they are doing the borrowing and spending, and they don't believe in it when they are asked what specific cuts they would make in the name of fiscal conservatism. Remember Paul Ryans's budgets? His first one had no numbers. His last two had numbers the didn't add up.
Hey, Obama done so well for us and our country so far...We are struggling in his economy, 7% unemployment for six years under him as President...Stole almost a trillion dollars and called it a stimulus that did, nothing...So, he needs to get on with transforming us all into the poor house... All hail the progressive
He had a clear open road the first two years and has proposed nothing nor offered to negotiate anything since, when is he going to fix the things that need fixing before trying to move on?
Obama can never fix the economy. Why? Because he needs it broken so that every time something blows up like an IED under his desk he can PIVOT TO THE ECONOMY.
Obamacare is here to stay -- like it or not. It's off to a rocky start and it'll experience severe turbulence for the next several months. Neverthess, it'll start to settle down and run smoothly. The purpose of Obamacare is to provide about 60 million "poor" Americans, mostly minorities, with high quality, or even better care, than America's more fortunate citizens - and these more fortunate Americans are going to foot the bill. Conservative, taxpaying Americans will settle down and accept their fate. For working taxpaying Americans, Obamacare will become just another major expense item (like car and mortgage payments) in their family budgets. But they will adjust to it.
And the premise behind that statement being what? Why should they have the same or better healthcare than those who earn their own? You make a distinction between the two? We were told that expense would go down dramatically it was one of the reasons to have Obamacare AT ALL. If that is not going to happen then why have it?
Do you have a source for this...besides your own opinion, I mean? According to the aggregate of the polls at Real Clear 57% disapprove of Obama Care.
In case you hadn't noticed, Bush left us a nice parting gift on his way out the door in 2008 so, the economy was broken well before Obama got in there, and Bush and the right wing are the ones that broke it.
So a five year FAIL to fix it will forever be Bush's fault. Are you excusing the current affirmative action hire because he's truly incompetent? Looks like. How about our next black President get the job on some features other than skin color and empty rhetoric. Obama sucks at EVERYTHING. The economy is now only second on the list. Jimmy Carter is very happy today. He lived to see someone worse. .
Pretty much, yeah. You don't see FDR catching heat for Hoover's mess, do you? History will record that the Republican Party was at its most uncooperative and divisive during the Obama years, a time of genuine economic hardship for this country. They'll point out every jobs bill Republicans in congress blocked, every spending cut they lobbied for and/or got (spending cuts during a fragile recovery is just stupid btw). They'll remember the government shutdowns and record-setting filibustering too. Oh, and the birther nonsense, Obamacare smear campaign, and laughable attempts to diminish Obama's foreign policy victories. Al-Qaeda look amateurs next to the destruction the 2000-present day GOP have wrought on our nation.
Clearly, facts, as documented. To reiterate: Discriminatory marriage laws do continue to fall. The Affordable Care Act is the law of the land. The multi-trillion dollar Iraqi and Afghan nation-building fiascos will both be in the rearview mirror shortly. Further such costly quagmires in Syria and Iran are being avoided via diplomacy. Americans do, overwhelmingly, support universal background check for firearm purchases. Americans also favour comprehensive immigration reform by a wide margin. If you actually dispute these realities, present valid countervailing indicators. You are welcome to get your frillies in a bunch at progressive nations achieving the highest quality of life on the planet, but mindless denials do nothing to sustain your distress.
