Maybe someone can explain to me how it is Colin has anywhere near this kind of stroke at Nike? He ain't anywhere near as important as he ought to be to pull this stunt off and get away with it.

I guess it's no surprise that Nike headquarters are located in Portland Oregon.

I'm just confused why Nike used a flag which isn't the American flag.

Can't turn back the hands of time; those 13 stars remain present in the canton of today's US flag.

Shoes have the potential to be racist, just like anything else don't they? I imagine that a pair of shoes that had a KKK theme design could be considered as racist.

Couldn't the first one be described as racist?

They could be described as black shoes. The white shoes weren’t called racist.

I think the first ones are best described as "Ugly". How either of them made it past product development is beyond me. Who runs their art department - Mr. Magoo?

I dunno, I could see Michael Jordan with that kind of stroke. Colin? I don't see it.

The Betsy Ross flag is used as a symbol by several right wing white supremacist groups.

A small price to pay to keep an anti-American company out of the state.

They are already trying, it’s failing miserably but is quite hilarious during the mean time.

The story is stupid because if Nike canceled the shoe design because of Colin's input, why didn't the dummies ask him about it before going public with the design? It makes the Nike management team look like a bunch of idiots.

So, they must have done this deliberately as a marketing stunt. IOW, it was a deliberate action.

I would guess that the 9000 black men that fought for freedom under that flag would kick Kaepernick's ass. But, they fought bravely, against the other country that had slaves, in order to give him the freedom to be a complete *******.

I can see how the first one was seem as a blackface reference.

What do you mean? He spoke and Nike acted. Doesn't this mean that he has "that kind of stroke?"
