I think that dictators like Hussein, Gaddafi or Assad were/are the necessary evil to keep those medieval lunatics praying on a book of rules from the 7th century and never updated since then in their caves. bombing away one after the other has set free those forces like blasting away the walls of a psychiatric ward. That those people are "terrorists" now is not their own fault because "terrorism" is another word for "asymmetric warfare" and the asymmetry of power was caused by the attacking power, which is the West. Someone easily could ask himself if the West hasn't learned from its own faults by attacking Iran or if those "faults" are not faults at all but the script of the underlying plan. There is a conspiracy theory of an Israelite plan to "balkanize" the mid east, exactly like they did it in Lebanon or Palestine. Some formerly ridiculed conspiracy theories one day come out to be factual conspiracies. this very likely is one of them.

i dont think who is in office will matter either biggest problem is that we are downsizing the military again and that is a sign of weakness and we saw what happened the last time we did it..they attacked us..so be ready
Soon as the Congress gets around to passing the Federal Budget and we are no longer under Sequester Rules the automatic military cuts can be stop and reversed. Until then we are stuck with the rules that cover a dysfunctional government.
