    Well they did pass a voter ID law but that was challenged by the Democrats and a liberal judge struck it down.

    Apparently not in this case.

    If you have to prove it when you register then what's the problem with showing an ID when you vote proving your are the person registered to vote?

    Saying women or other minorities can't vote isn't likely to hold up in courts.

    I am one of those people who check ID's at the polling places and there is always one person who will resist. The procedure is we call the precinct capratin and he turns the case over to the two registrars of voters, one Dem one Rep.

    And if they can't verify I'm sure the person gets to cast a provisional ballot and then if the race is that close the person can go to the county clerks office and show they are the person on the voter list and their vote will be counted.

    Or something like that.....

    But it is so simple just take your ID with you.

    Yes that is almost our procedure but in NewEngland we are town government oriented so they go to town hall to plead their case.

    I will be working the polls again for the primaries so we should not get any whonare crazy and refuse to show an ID. We require that one of the ID 's has an address. Last time a nurse camevun with her hospital ID with picture and all of that but no address. I had to send her to Town Hall. I don't name the rules but I enforce them 100%.
