If said "kids" can figure out where to go for the latest BLM protest and Looting Bonfires, I think we can trust them to figure out where the Post Office is and how to buy one stamp there.

...or they could find a polling location, show an ID, and the election volunteer can walk them through how to use the scary voting computer. Probably easier than finding a stamp and a mailbox.

Why do liberals want to suppress the young vote? Fascists'. Funny how these same people are the ones trying blame voter suppression on conservatives...

He has never heard of a debit card from a bank? He must be at least one hundred and twenty years old. I hate doing business with banks because they charge you to keep yer money there and they tell the govt. how much you make....In fact there is no way to keep from not getting charged extra to do business and I know your boss wants everyone else to carry the burden to have the privy to live on his property.

My boss doesn't pay any bank fees. My account is also free.

Tell the millennials. My boss tried to give them inexpensive options.

I have no idea what the new group of kids did, but the first payment, the one who is collecting cash from the other two told my boss that they charged him $60.00 in fees!

Anyway, the kid collecting rent from the other two figured out some less expensive way to pay rent. He is using some non-automated service though where he's paying cash and they cut and mail the check for him. Don't know how much that costs. I mailed them 6 pre-stamped envelops and not a single one of those has come back to us.

Some days I ponder if it would be simpler to get hit by a bus rather than grow old hoping these last couple of generations are never responsible for my daily care. LOL

If it were the case that he wants to suppress the youth vote, and they don't know how to mail a letter, Trump would be totally in favor of vote-by-mail. He's not.

    That theory only works if:

    a) Trump is performing better than Biden on the other demographics (he is not) and

    b) Trump was smart enough to think through the impact of railing against vote by mail/absentee ballot (and he is definitely not given that he thinks they are both the same and given that he is costing the GOP votes by discouraging them from voting by mail-in/absentee).

I'm hoping to die suddenly, after watching most of my relatives (father's side) slowly deteriorate with Alzheimer's. I fear that I'll be in a nursing home, needing my Pamper's changed, and this male/female nursing home employee will be my only hope.

The problem with mail voting is ensuring the ballot sent is the one received in an unmodified conditions and tabulated accordingly. Public key encryption could have provided a means to vote via the Internet in a secure manner -- but after the digital signature act was signed our government failed by incompetence or design to establish a robust public key infrastructure.

    The Final Result?

Nobody ever expected THAT to be known on Election Night.

Most think it could take a Week (or even longer).

But, at some point, one candidate will amass a lead larger than the number of outstanding ballots.

It definitely could stretch out longer than expected.

But, in any event, the State results need to be certified by Dec. 8:

States must certify their electors by December 8, and electors must cast their ballots by December 14

Probably (at least) a week to 10 days.

Nobody expects the results of this sort of Mail-In Election (with this many Mail-In Ballots) to be known in Election Night.

As does BJ's, SAMS, and maybe CoSCO. You can order stamps online my wife does for the few mailing we do these days.

I was curious about the postage question. Apparently, it is not postage-paid in every state.

They grew up being so over-protected that some adult was around 24/7 doing things for them so they never learned to do anything for themselves...except play on computers, read a lot online, and talk to each other online (not as much face-to-face). Now, they're turning into adults who don't have many basic life skills to "do adulting". (This isn't every young person, just a disturbingly high-percentage of an entire generation or two. We do have "mostly" normal kids in those generations.)

Jonathan Haidt has studied problems with how the Millennials and Gen Z's were raised.

I will be working at my district poling station and we have big posters as to how to votes and we can answer procedural questions.

I have only had a couple gebonees refuse to show me an ID back when I was a checker verifier. Those clowns we would send to a Registrar. That will be me starting next election. We were reminded in training that if anyone gets threatening, obusive, or causes a disturbance over an ID check or something we call the police and town clerks office to report the incident. We cannot allow any clowns to disrupt real voters.

I completely disagree with NPR's Conclusions (and implications).

"Young People" AREN'T (really) that Clueless.

Regardless of any sort of NPR Poll:

    The Mail-In Election WILL Happen.

So, Everybody needs to get used to that idea.

Yes, we know mail-in elections are a fact in some states, so there isn't any debate over "get used to it". We'll just see how well it works out.

buying stamps are paying a tax to vote.

stamp revenue is collected by the government and distributed to welfare recipients.
