Again, not very useful information. We can't stop them from being male. You'll need to look for a different "cause" for violence.
You obviously have little experience with the female portion of the world. Otherwise you would be aware of the equal or much greater penchant and potential for violence.
One poster wants to blame blacks. Can we stop them from being black? Lol - - - Updated - - - I rely on facts
Studying statistics does not keep people safer, taking firearms and safety training out of our schools, made it less safe. I've been around firearms all my life, was taught to respect them and taught firearms and archery safety. We had a biathlon team in high school, firearm safety was taught with BB Guns when younger and then 22's. It is not the firearm that makes it unsafe, it is the person holding it. And please stop touting Australia's firearms statistics to us American's...I've put statistics up from your own countries bureaus that have shown that home invasions, robberies and rapes have gone up steadily since Australia banned most firearms. We in the US value our freedoms more than you all do.
Depending on which species in the animal kingdom is referenced, the females are larger and deadlier than the males.
Good thing that doesn't always apply to humans, although I have witnessed it in the human animal kingdom
A statement you know you cannot support, especially in that 70% of violent crime does not involve a gun. But, glad to see you agree with my point.
Violent crimes that involve fatalities are much more likely to involve guns. Adding guns to violent crime is like pouring gasoline on a fire. It makes already existing problems worse.
Violent crimes that involve fatalities are a tiny potion of gun-related crime, let alone total violent crime. A statement you know you cannot support, especially in that 70% of violent crime does not involve a gun.
Gun sales are WAY WAY up..... Homicides have been on a downward trend. No one can legitimately claim that more guns equal more homicides.
Why is it necessary to use private funding to research an issue regarding public health? Why is it necessary to eliminate science that tells us what you don't want us to hear? Do you suppose that, assuming someone were to donate $20M to the CDC to perform a major study that Republicans in Congress would react any differently than they do to Planned Parenthood?
The center for disease control has squandered government funding for the purpose of advocating greater restrictions on firearms. They were utilizing government funding, to lobby government for the enactment of new legislation, which is not what their purpose is supposed to be about. Pray tell what has science been telling anyone about anything pertaining to firearm-related violence? What can science reveal on the matter? Will it tell us why someone who is involved in the illicit use of alcoholic beverages and narcotic substances, would choose to illegally procure a firearm to use against someone else? How those in congress may or may not hypothetically react to some hypothetical study is not relevant to the discussion.
