Let us review the scandal's progress.

As the corrupt scam teeters on the brink of bankruptcy month after month, the disgruntled members who have been conned and fleeced are increasingly eager to starve the beast.

 

Any insistence that the North American Man/Gun Love Association has only incurred superficial flesh wounds in it's ongoing massacre is intriguing.

I had documented its existential crisis, i.e.,

Ackerman McQueen, the longtime PR firm for the NRA is now counter-suing the gun promoters for $100 million. The PR firm’s suit was filed... just a day after the NRA sued Ackerman McQueen for $40 million, accusing the firm of “fomenting” an attempted coup and leaking confidential documents.

McQueen had exposed the NRA’s profligate spending, including LaP's squandering hundreds of thousands of member dollars on luxury suits and global travel.

Wow. That pithy rebuttal should certainly put "lefties" like Colonel Allen West (Yikes, it’s getting worse over at the NRA. Now it’s Allen West calling for Wayne LaPierre’s resignation!) in his place for impugning Squinty "Fancy Pants" La P, by jiggers.

Debilitated, disgraced, enfeebled, and self-immolating, the corrupt con artists will soon be replaced with a leadership less determined than the current regime to fleece the membership via paranoid delusions and an extremist political agenda to subvert the democratic will. Legitimacy may eventually be restored.

If you believe the political lobby is thriving, that is a novel impression, indeed.

 

Even if the individual Wayne LaPierre were to be removed from the NRA, there is no reason to believe that his replacement would not be just as extreme with regard to the preservation and promotion of the second amendment and related matters. The replacement may even be more extreme and urge the NRA to be less willing to compromise on various matters.

 

And yet nothing beyond mere opinion pieces, all based around the mentality of "I hate the NRA" have been presented on the part of yourself in this discussion. Nothing resembling actual evidence has been cited.

 

I joined the NRA many years ago in order to get their excellent magazines. I let my subscription lapse and I began getting their magazines on line. I haven't been a member for many years, but I still get their magazines. That is called a win win.

The crises are internal, and delineated in court documents - suits and countersuits by the NRA's CEO and president, charges of blackmail and espionage, suits and countersuits involving the NRA, its long-time PR firm that contrived its paranoia-promotion, and calls by members for Fancy Pants LaP to resign.

it was already reeling from leadership shakeups and allegations of financial mismanagement when it accused Chris Cox -- the man who had controlled the organization's lobbying and political activities for more than 15 years -- of trying to overthrow Chief Executive Wayne LaPierre, according to a lawsuit filed last month...

The NRA's dysfunction exploded into a public spectacle at the group's annual meeting April in Indianapolis. That's where LaPierre accused then-NRA President Oliver North of trying to extort him.

North had allegedly demanded that LaPierre step down as CEO and continue to support North as NRA president -- "or be smeared," according to LaPierre's letter to the board and court filings.

North had one more demand: Drop a pending lawsuit against Ackerman McQueen...

Embarrassing revelations started spilling out in court filings and in a cache of letters and invoices anonymously posted online and substantiated by sources familiar with them.

On top of the $40 million annually that the NRA was allegedly shelling out to Ackerman (a sum Ackerman disputes), other questionable expenses came to light.

"We realized during these discussions that we need to address your wardrobe you required us to provide, specifically, purchases at the Zegna store in Beverly Hills, CA," one of the letters from Ackerman McQueen to LaPierre that was posted online stated. It cited nearly $275,000 in purchases from the high-end Italian clothier.

Members were paying attention...

North said he wanted outside professionals look into potential financial mismanagement within the NRA. Instead, LaPierre retaliated by having North removed from his role as president and board member, North alleges in the filing.

"LaPierre -- demonstrating his total dictatorial control over the NRA ... stopped all of North's inquiries and prevented others at the NRA from looking into the concerns that North raised," according to the court filing from North's legal team...

If you need to ignore the depleted coffers, the shrinking donations and soaring legal costs, the demands from prominent members like West that Fancy Pants resign after his lavish wardrobe and travel spending was exposed, the accusations of self-enrichment with several executives reportedly double-dipping and arranging personally beneficial vendor contracts, the mutual charges of blackmail and extortion within the scam's hierarchy, the firings of North and Cox, the legal suits between the NRA and Ackerman McQueen, the astronomical legal fees of fat cat lawyer Brewer - who has a history of ethical violations, the pending loss of their phony "charity" status, I guess you can content yourself by watching re-runs of NRATV as well as Murder She Wrote and Charlie's Angels.

According to the NRA in the suit filed by Ackerman McQueen, “...certain NRA stakeholders were concerned that NRATV’s messaging — on topics far afield of the Second Amendment — deviated from the NRA’s core mission and values.”

... NRATV aired segments on immigration and gender identity, warned of possible race wars, and called for a protest march on the FBI...

In June 2019, the NRA's Chief Executive Wayne Lapierre announced that the NRA would halt the production of content at NRATV.

LaP has conned the dupes by promoting a paranoia by which the gun dependent wee wee their frillies over the fantasy of big, bad "liberals" taking their precious shooties away unless Fancy Pants can sport his chi chi threads whilst strutting around and yammering that the solution to the obscene level of firearm carnage in the US is more firearms.

His phony shtick is about to end.

 

When such actually does occur, do be sure to let those present know about the development. Until such actually occurs, however, be silent and cease wasting the time of others with impotent postings about some hypothetical for which cannot be presently proven.
