wanna bet he won't ante up? I have been saying the same thing for 15 years. and no one has ever proven I have lied. On the other board that has many of the same members, four moderators have all confirmed my veracity. So I am risking NOTHING. BBL tonight.
You keep ignoring the evidence, New York City, by decision of the N.Y.P.D. and the City council decided that Registration of firearms known as "Assault Weapons" should be registered, verbal promises were made to Grandfather the owners. Later, the same people decreed that after a certain date, those very same legally registered and possessed licensed firearms would no longer be allowed and the owners could enter them into inventory of a FFL in order to comply with the Law or face severe criminal charges related to possession of illegal weapons. Defacto confiscation.
Only gun control that is not constitutional or infringes on the 2A, or in any way inhibits lawful citizens from legally purchasing firearms. Notice how Ruckers suggestions focus on criminals and does not concentrate on lawful citizens.
Thats only a bar that needs to be cleared if we are going to infringe on law abiding citizens ability to legally acquire firearms. Stupid laws are passed all the time, but we need to uses extra caution when contemplating infringing on constitutional rights.
You want moar gun control as well as full registration of all firearms, prove it works, if you can prove it works, I will get on board and get it passed.
When we criticize the usual anti gun "gun control" ideas it's because we want to know that it works before we interfere with constitutional rights. Pass all the stupid laws you want, just don't interfere with lawful firearm purchases or constitutional rights. For me, it makes more sense to target criminals and not lawful citizens. (Since were trying to curb criminal behavior).
Uh....I did. Show you scientific evidence sufficient to meet the standard of causation for anything that you want to do. This is what you ask of any gun control idea presented here. Shoe....meet other foot.
I directly address each point that you post with both supporting documentation from government/NGO sources and with an explanation of how some of your suggestions are not Constitutional. I'm not the one just says "prove it. LOL". Someone else here does that. Does putting a criminal in jail prevent that criminal from committing a crime against society during that period of incarceration?
Does Ruckers suggestions hamper the law abiding from purchasing or using firearms? The same standard does apply.
The context of my comment was in response to Bowerbird’s post. What does registration have to do with the OP?
