The ATF has a long and well-documented history of questionable and even illegal behaviors and practices. Not the least of which is operation Fast and Furious, where they actively assisted in the trafficking of firearms to the nation of Mexico, without the government of the nation of Mexico ever being informed that such was going to occur.

gun haters would rather have the FBI target citizens who are engaged in a Malum Prohibitum offense instead of going after known dangerous criminals. Reason? politics-violent criminals didn't keep Hillary out of the oval office. Honest gun owners did

If guns are regulated by States Authority and powers, why is the Federal Government involved, and the B.O.R. grants citizens rights to free speech and firearms.

Sure. The US hasn’t figured out how to use computer technology like Canada and every other country with tighter gun control laws who has figured out how to enforce these regulations. You’re right. Americans just don’t seem to have the know how. ;)

Because guns are portable and are easily transported from one state to another. By necessity the Feds are needed to unify all inter state commerce. When it comes to food, automobiles and guns, etc, which are already regulated to varying degrees by states, the Feds need to be involved. Not every state has orange groves, a Ford Factory or a Glock manufacturer.

The BOR does not normally grant rights absolutely to unqualified citizens, like convicted felons, underaged and mentally deficient. The SC has ALWAYS said citizen’s rights from all our BOR are NOT absolute.
Every gun law in every state in the union is constitutional until successfully challenged and amended.

Regarding "universal background checks", the subject of X's comment:

    "Universal background checks

Twitter summary: Effectiveness depends on the ability to reduce straw purchasing, requiring gun
registration and an easy gun transfer process"

Department of Justice Report "Summary of Select Firearm Violence Prevention Strategies", 2010.

In San Francisco or West Hollywood you can get raped (sodomized) if you are accused of being straight.

Just follow these simple rules if you ever visit San Francisco.

Don't drop your gun...some illegal alien is likely to pick it up and shoot a young woman on a pier.

If you drop your car keys DON'T BEND OVER to pick them up... Kick them all they way to San Jose before picking up the car keys.

Heterosexuals rape more men than Gays, look at prisons, where male rape is common since there are no women.

Rape is not about sex, it is about power and control, hence why rapists rape the elderly since no sexual attraction exists.

“Except for the basic, simple fact that they are not, as they are impossible to enforce.”

No, this is ignorant. Good to hear you’re equating driver licenses with gun regulations. It’s a start.

No other nation in the world, absolutely none of them, has as many privately owned, unregistered, untraceable firearms as the united states. The current estimate puts the number somewhere between three hundred and five hundred million. The estimated number of new firearms being sold to private individuals on a daily basis is, at a bare minimum, forty one thousand. This is coupled with how the united states possesses no firearms registration system, making for a perfect storm of impossibility when it comes to trying enforce background checks on private firearm sales.

Find us another country in the world that has even one quarter of the number of privately owned firearms as the united states, and has successfully registered the vast majority of them without issue.

The Department of Justice said that UBCs are impossible to enforce without complete registration and would be ineffective without a reduction in straw purchases and without an easy gun transfer process. What do you know that their experts do not?

Thanks for admitting that federal intervention is required. Unless, you’re OK with building a wall around every state.

You got references for that comment. For some reason you keep forgetting these laws are enforced in other countries. You make excuses that just don’t exist, except in your own mind.

Maybe because the US isn’t ready for more armed George Zimmerman’s and other untrained cop wannabes shooting innocent people. . The police alone are responsible for over 1000 a year. We need more ? Hardly.

What are you blathering about ????

The Civil Air Patrol was simply people using their private planes to report Aircraft sneaking Cocaine and other contraband across the border at the mere cost of fuel, the Aircraft owners paying all other costs.

    No shooting at all.
