If they are crooks why didn't the DA file criminal charges against them?

I said it earlier, under NY law the DA has this authority. What criminal charges were filed?

I rarely say this, but THAT comment was completely, 'pulled-out-of-your-ass' bullshit.

I've criticized Trump a lot, especially during the last 18 months. Read my posts if you don't believe it....

It is incredible how one state can have so many moronic political officials.

Are you suggesting we should investigate any charitable organization if it's executives are millionaries?

How did Clinton and Obama become millionaries as public servants? How about Biden?

OK, here's the next group we can disband, they recently paid out millions to settle a defamation suit: https://www.usatoday.com/story/opin...aw-center-hate-groups-scam-column/2022301001/

"These shameful secrets are no longer hidden in shadows. The New York Times, Politico, NPR and a host of other mainstream publications are reporting on the corruption and widening credibility gap. The SPLC dismissed its co-founder in March, and its president has resigned amidst numerous claims of sexual harassment, gender discrimination and racism within the organization — a parade of disgraces that vividly force the conclusion: The SPLC is hollow, rotten and failing at the very virtues it pretends to celebrate."

Yeah. Do you understand the top people were taking vacations on private jets at the company’s expense?

Humans never exist is an entirely rational world, but we are talking about reality.
After Trump is sent packing? :)

Those who want gun control should be overjoyed seeing Trump supporters acting like disturbed wasps.

The point is that gun rights are not dependent on the NRA.

Form a new organization and move on.

    Absolutely.

Especially if they weren't before they were part of these organizations.

Wayne LaPierre got $17 million for his retirement from member contributions.

That's not counting the millions $ he received from the gun companies...

After their term of office, by writing books and giving conferences.

True. The DA wanted to make sure it was timed correctly.

There may not have been criminal activity just the usual "I am very important" syndrome.
LaPierre has a career in politics.

Do you realize how many books LaPierre has written and conferences where he is an invited speaker? Why shouldn't he be able to enrich himself in the same manner? How else was he supposed to be paid other than member contributions and where in the bylaws of the company does it say he cannot also do work for other private business?

Where are criminal charges here? Curious minds would like to know.

I'm just watching from the shore. This is a lawsuit to disband, not criminal charges. OK she doesn't like the way it is run, let alone he hatred of the group itself and what it stands for, isn't that a matter for the board and membership not a legal matter?

This thing is entirely political on it's face. If they violated the law charge them, if not the management style is a matter for the board and the members.

I've heard it alleged but no details and the NRA says the expenses have all be audited and were properly paid. Is that against the law? Else that is up to the board what expenses and perks allowed. Don't like it, don't contribute to them. But unless something illegal then the DA should stay out of it.
