President Obama’s temporary deportation amnesty will make it easier for illegal immigrants to improperly register and vote in elections, state elections officials testified to Congress on Thursday, saying that the driver’s licenses and Social Security numbers they will be granted create a major voting loophole.


Was that the purpose of the amnesty and drivers licenses in the first place or is this just another one of those unintended consequences that no one could forsee? Was this amnesty and allowing illegals to get DL's a purposeful and intentional method to stack the deck in favor of Democrats?

There's no question Obama's amnesty was purposefully directed to aid progressive's and deconstruct the integrity of American citizenship our election process. The rule of law has been displaced by the stroke of pen and it's not first time or last time it will be. When Obama embraced the slogan "Yes We Can" he was actually thinking "Yes I Can", and he has. Obama isn't interested in a pathway to citizenship so much as a red carpet, rolled out to people here illegally who, nonetheless, are getting tax money and now the ability to vote in a nation they aren't even entitled to be in.

You people realize we have always given social security cards and licenses to legal immigrants right? My father in law is a permanent resident (non citizen) and has both.

Oh, well, anything to get the natives restless with bogus worries. I say bogus worries because the people getting licenses and SS numbers have been here for years, want to stay and become citizens. They can become citizens some day as long as they do not commit illegal acts while here, sufficient to cause them to be denied citizenship and voting illegally would be one of them. In other words, any worries about a stampede of illegals to the polls as a result of Obama's actions is pure unadulterated, nonsensical, malarkey.

When Europeans settled this land, there was no established nation state, and certainly no such laws existed regarding immigration to and from this land.
